  1. Tell me please one thing - when commander's morale state lowers does his ability to boost his squads fall too or daoes it stay on the same level till he is in *panic* when it drastically disappears? Just to understand the game mechanics better.. Thx, nzn
  2. Thats what must be done: You put "move" here, take a pause of N-seconds here hiding, then "move" there. Or even this way: Walk till the forest ends, then stop and look around, if no one's there, run to the other forest. Bitch. We need optionally more complicated algorythms to program our r.o.b.o.t.s with (i think). [ May 19, 2003, 04:34 PM: Message edited by: ['nzn] ]
  3. And hey, jKMkIII! How do you count these points you've just named? Sorry for ignorance, never late to learn stuff
  4. That's what i've got btw.. Can someone explain the difference between the details in the two AAR's? Sad that TheBlackHand throws the game away..
  5. Isnt the very existence of "map edges" g.a.m.e.y. btw? Especially when they have influence on the poor schreck's performance
  6. LOL, the tank (my tank) was reversing because it wanted to be further from the trees and get a wider observation on the place! And i wasnt aware of that "get off map and then turn back" trick at all!!! This is really strange and stupid from me because i ALWAYS try to use the most up to date g.a.m.e.y. & c.h.e.a.t.i.n.g. techniques in this game.. Will perform now on, appreciate the advice greatly, thx! Now hold on, TheBlackHand, im moving on ya from all sides and your Tigers with useless cover armours are not withstanding my drive! Did you count my AFV's there? Thats it!
  7. Ye, funny one! A very handy feature too btw! But nevertheless i would definitely LOVE to see it disappeared from CM in the third part of the game, wouldnt you?
  8. Hi! I saw a photo named "Soviet T-70 tanks attack under *sometown*, *somedate*": there were a couple of tankies rolling a field under fire, some explosions were seen and on the nearest t70 there lied a DP gunner (aside of the turret) firing his mg. It got my attention coz i really wonder why cant some soldiers embark on these tanks in CM! That place near turret seems very suitable for at least a sharpshooter! And further i wonder why are all the vehicles in the game made with such a strict and narrow passanger capacity? In a truck for example theres plenty space for 30 men if they stand! And for some couple more men if they hang at the back of it or somewhere. And if you watch in a movie how it was done during the war youll never see a truck going half empty. There were not so many trucks after all for every squad of infantry to ride with comfort. I see two possible objections against larger capacity. First, there were some written rules for transportation using different vehicles and second, its a game balance for which's sake the strict capacity is better. About rules i have to tell the following - in russian tradition theres no much attention usually payed to such kind of rules and whether it is a choice for a commander to get all his platoon in a truck standing in the back though in time to the position and fresh or to obey some "rules for capacity" - he wont think twice. Of course there is a risk of kia all togather from a bomb incoming, but who cares for risk at war if there is need?? And about balance... if BFC has ever thought about game balance it wouldnt let the germans use their 150s!!! In general my question is the following: why cant i force my men to sit there a bit closer to each other? Wouldnt it be more realistic to widen passanger capacities of vehicles? Now wont that fellow t70's tanker let the whole squad of infantry ride his roof (and even his main gun if needed) over that fields, provided he's not gonna engage immideately? And if myself specially asks him... :E And then if he does take some fire unexpectedly that "overcapacity" squad might suffer more... as well as the tank should get some penalties. Wont BFC do smf here? Cheers, nzn
  9. Hey! Pls explain what to do with the ampulomet texture after patching? How to return it BACK? nzn
  10. To laxx: your repeated attempts to compare soviet-german situation in the 40s to todays us-iraq situation are ridiculous in my opinion. if you really (excuse me pls if i got it wrong) think that stalin was doin some bad thing to the world trying to fend off hitlers invasion in russia then you should widen [as well as deepen] your view on the topic *a very little bit* before explicating your global politics discoverings in public. mho nzn [ January 06, 2003, 08:49 PM: Message edited by: ['nzn] ]
  11. YOU CAN NOT FORCE AN ARTIST!!! Really, ill have an idea only when i love a tank - how it crawls up a hill, how it rushes down a road - that stuff.
  12. 1. Agree: all infantry men shown + keeping them in platoon order automatically (an option); 2. All the trees and bushes shown individually; 3. Tracks on the ground (real-time landscape including braking trees and making real holes); 4. More different writings on armor: "Za Rodinu!" on some T-34's for example and tank numbers, otherwise they look cloned and sad; 5. More polygones of course! Cheers.
