  2. Yes; another mappack on the way...

33 maps, 30 maps are 2140x2140 meters big, and the last 3 4000+ meters.

So,therefor, if anybody might have a request for a theme/setting/location etc, be quick about it, and it will be welcome.

    (two weeks, probably, before posting)

(i find myself not playing cm anymore, because im now playing strategic command 2, but the map making continues. Its still a hobby, still an escape...)

  3. What a nice replies...

I always thought more people should edit maps and share. Maps are an important part of the game(play).

I love watching and searching for exciting maps from others. If the map does its thing, there is always a battle to be found.

(stronger even: for me its the maps that get me going)

well, i shouldnt overdo it smile.gif

So cool to hear people have memories on them...lol

  4. ah, cool smile.gif thx.

Hope the battles also were very exciting then.

pff, i didnt post another mappack for long because, well i was working on alot of new maps for over months (without saving to disc unfortunately) and kaboosh; my harddisk said, losing all i had. And really; darn; i had over 30 completely new big maps. Thats atleast 3 to 5 hours work on each map. I was so dissapointed i didnt come around to starting it up again for long. And when i did, just this came out; not much new stuff really, more editing and cutting what i had. Not that these maps arent playable and even nice and such, but,oh, the ones i lost....(trying new atempts at cornfieldlain slopes, small villages within them, everything so lovely in tune to oneself...all of them could make up to 2 or 3 new maps later-on cause they had alot going on everywhere...) i lost a love, i lost a love... i lost a home, i lost alot of lovely homes...

(thank you for listening to my small memoriam... tongue.gif )

    greets and enjoy your battles

  5. im afraid not. dont have anything like that.

But you know you can put al the maps into the scenario folder, and then view them one by one in the scenario editor?...if you do that you can rename the ones you like and are likely to use...

If you startup a game its just as easy to pick a map from there.

  6. Ahum, Bogdan?...

I would love some of your scans of areas in witch fighting took place. I dont have any point of specific interest as to battles, just in map making. And with scans of a 1:25.000 scale the mapmaking would be so 'easy' and nice. Ive made some maps of real places before, and now im trying to do some more maps it would be good to make some with real input aswell.

Maybe i could even make some maps for others of areas they are interested in? I myself would pic the most pictoresk ones that provide the most interesting battle options...since i dont often play any scenarios from WWII, but made up ones, that my bro or me made up to play eachother.

(...where was i going? Oh yes;...)

Maybe u also know a site with topografical maps of France? Im really interested in everything that could provide a real looking map.

all types of landscape are good.

Maybe u have some u find interesting yourself stored on your computer already...they might take up alot of place, but u could send me like 10 emails;) no problem here....;)

it would be so welcome...(if u find the time)

  7. Thx Fredrock and jwxspoon.

Who knowes my bro and me will play a map of yours someday;)

I left this behind me now, though..ive send the 60 maps to 3 people who asked for it. But thats it, it wont be posted, i respect others' opinion on the matter.

Maybe in time, ill start again, and organise this somewhat better.

If i do ill let u know ofcourse.

ive found some new mapmaking interest myself now in doing some France stuff. France is so lovely, and opens up some new territory for me.
