  1. UNDO on -depends on pbem opponent preferences FOW always off In that saved file you got , i enable options to be changed so for the last few turns i put FOW off when the game is over anyway no offense but any questions you poor doubter [ November 20, 2002, 01:07 PM: Message edited by: JayJay_H ]
  2. There could also be some industry in Middle England (mining around Leeds and Sheffield)
  3. Really kicks ass, but the V-Weapons (rockets+5) could have a larger range. Agree with the ports, at least Valencia (in the mediterranean), San Sebastian or Lissabon/Porto could be inserted. The Brits could have an additional ressource in exchange, Glasgow for example
  4. cyclem, wanted to email you a saved game as you proposed, your address aint available though hmmmmmmmm wished i knew how to get screenshots in here
  5. *LOL* i played dozens of times at normal, but got bored then and made it the hard way understand
  6. NP, but i think the simple answer is: need to be lucky with Industrial Technology research
  7. Yep, no problem hans, i could show up some screenshots here. And the reason for a so massive build up is: i concentrate loads of units at the russo-german border so their join value lets them prepare war about autumn 1942 - then i'm unstoppable. For the faithless among you i#d like to put in some screenshots here...how does that work anyone
  8. In a current Pbem i dont have to take the responsibility for the decision whether to conquer Spain or not - The allies declared war on her! So they doomed themselves - there is no port in lisboa or spain, they cant retreat and my rockets keep them under fire day and night. Spain belonging to axis territory means: far longer coastline to defend
  9. Yep, i conquered all that with my Jerries but Turkey still beeing neutral  Im not so set on Sealion, Germanys fleet aint prepared for that - also keeping the UK in means you get more units to destroy over the years - and a greater victory rating in the end! 10. Exactly I never had one single game where Turkey entered at all, even though UK was knocked out  [ November 18, 2002, 11:03 PM: Message edited by: JayJay_H ]
  11. Aha, so one has to go for Greece and launch Sealion simultaneously?!! Gonna check it out [ November 19, 2002, 06:38 AM: Message edited by: JayJay_H ]
  12. Okay, you all find it useful to have a strong Italy, but i always let the Jerries do ALL the work, otherwise its too simple - the "Big Three" should have at least a bit of a chance that makes the course of the war more interesting [ November 18, 2002, 10:49 PM: Message edited by: JayJay_H ]
  13. When I start the war against russia, i usually have manstein, rommel, kesselring, model, kleist and maybe leeb and 9 armies, 9 tanks, 7-10 airfleets, some rockets are also nice. Even with comp AI +2 exp i destroy the mass of their army right at the border in the first turn - what the F*CK is your problem hm, but its been a while since the last game against AI, human opponent is more fun anyway
  14. Spain will join the Axis Powers when UK is off! Or at least, London had fallen [ November 18, 2002, 12:00 PM: Message edited by: JayJay_H ]
  15. In real life, with Germanys strong position in the black sea, Turkey allowed the german federalized residents the shipping lane through the dardanelles until 44'. Germany and Turkey had been comrades-in-arms in WW1, and Turkey inclined to join the Axis until the Crimea was lost.
  16. Did it ever happen? Who knows the conditions making Turkey enter the war on Axis side
  17. I never attack my fascist ally, the spaniard Franco!
  18. You should take the time for some digging, its worthwhile [ November 17, 2002, 05:19 PM: Message edited by: JayJay_H ]
  19. On which depends the gaining of exp of an HQ? Sometimes Units attached to any Fieldmarshal destroy their enemy (seems from which they earn double of the exp if it only decimates the target) but their commander wont achieve exp points, occasionally
  20. Dont forget Generalfeldmarschall Schörner (the bloody Ferdinand): Winner of the Pour le Merite as Lt. in WW1, awarded on -- 5 Dec. 1917 KC: 20.04.1941 as Generalmajor, Kdr. 6. Geb.Div. Oakleafs: 17.02.1944 as General der Gebirgstruppen, Komm. General XXXX. Panzerkorps Swords: 28.08.1944 as Generaloberst and OB Heeresgruppe Nord Brilliants: 01.01.1945 as Generaloberst and OB Heeresgruppe Nord Instructor and staff member during the interwar years. During the war he led many successful attacks in Poland and the Balkans. From there he was sent to the north in Murmansk and Finland to hold back the Soviet advances. In 1944 he was made head of the Nazi command staff and Army Group South but 3 months later Army Group North, and then in early 1945 Army Group Center. Commonly thought of as Hitler's favorite General, Schörner was feared for his strict cold-blooded nature. (Deserves to be mentioned for defensive capability) [ November 16, 2002, 09:02 PM: Message edited by: JayJay_H ]
  21. After the fall of USSR and UK wouldnt it be more realistic if a popup message appears saying US and German gouvernment agree to make an armistice or discuss peace terms? Could depend on which side wins the battle of the atlantic. I just would like to have some more diplomatic options of any kind in the game mainly related to US-German conflict when Northamerica lost his most important allied, the UK.
