flamethrowers can be deadly in any offense too...city figths for example, but you have to be very carefull
if they carry two flamethrowers can they fire faster than the allied ? i don´t think so !

I guess i have to scan in a lot of WWII pictures and make it into BMP`s....has anyone a clue of BMP numbers....as far as i know there are even pictures for early/late war units ?
i am really looking forward to finnish portraits...I have a picture showing finnish commando units who painted a skullhead on their helmets...looks awfull!!!!

I am wondering why there are only 2 men Flamethrower teams are modelled in CM.
There was also a small version only one man could carry....allthough it had lesser fuel it would be an awfull weapon in CM i guess. Imagine an almost invisible FT (because its only one man) able to use the "run" order.....awsome, i would say !

I have lost the scenario too ,and after trying it for several times i got fed up so i used the editor to give the germans some artillary spotters (tryed small and large arty) but i was still unable to win the game.... it seems that arty has no effect on bunkers and infantry thats dug in that way...even the flame missiles did almost no harm to the fortification.

US Halftracks can kill themselves with their MG´s.
When they fire straight ahaid at night or in dense fog it happens very often....the machine gunner can even kill himself i think.

You should force the shermans to button up...possibly use your MG´s to distrakt enemy fire...then your tanks will kill them much easier.

What i really wan`t is a mod for the ugly unit portrait pictures but so far nothing happened...
With all the nice tanks and weapons noone concentrated on them....or am i the only one who dislikes them ?

It has been in CMBO allready ??? Never realized it but as i said before it is a great feature...guns have been placed in buildings and sometimes even tanks have been dug in inside buildings....
There is even a scenario on the cmbb disk showing this feature :pavlovs house The russians have a anti tank cannon inside a building

What about vehicles that have a second driver in the back ? are they faster in reverse ?

I miss the shockwaves of the impacts as well.
In CMBB it can sometimes be very hard to find out where the enemy arty barage goes...what i wan`t to say is, that the shockwaves make it much easier to find and identifie the impacts...and as far as i know they aren`t that unrealistic...

I have encountered a new (?) bug.
The italian tank destroyer (i guess it`s the carro legerro) has a bug. If you zoom to view number 1 and get the camera in front of it and the vehicle is buttoned up you can see the feet of the crewmyn below the target !!!!!

That`s the point !
I think in real life it is possible to destroy a halftrack with just rifles and light MG`s but CM does not feature this. I never was inthe army but a friend of mine told me that the tank he was driving during his time in the army was so weakly armored that a rifle shell can easily penetrate the armor and a halftrack just has 7 mm`s to protect it ! that`s the reason why i can`t imagine that infantry refuses to open fire on a halftrack.

I am not sure if the MG is knocked out with the gun all the times. ...In one battle i had a tiger with a blocked turet but i was still able to select targets but as far as i remember the gun was still able to fire....but i am not sure if my memories are corect...maybe i am wrong

That`s strange ! Does panthers and tigers (for example) really have the same chance to hit targets ? ...I allways had the feeling that especially shermans have problems in spotting the enemy....i can`t belive that this was just my imagination ???

I am for sure they only fire at unbuttoned halftracks ! If they are buttoned you can hear your boys yell "ceasefire".

I think it is strange that infantry refuses to fire at lightly armored vehicles. For example an allied halftrack has 7mm`s armor and i guess it has lots of weakpoints , but a infantry squad refuses to fire their rifles at it on range of 40 meters from the 2nd storrey of a building. As far as i know a K98 carbine should be able to penetrate such low armor. Why they refuse to fire ? In that special case they even stood on higher ground so they even would have a chance to kill the crew. Any opinions on this topic ?

Am i the only one who thinks that the volkssturm is armed far too good ? The units are armed with lots of MPs and MGs and even with the rare mp 44 !
as far as i know the main problems of the volkssturm have been ammo and weapons. Most of those poor "soldiers" carried hunting rifles !!
What do you think about it ?
