we all remember Mr. WBW for his great scenarios but I wonder if he is still in combat mission?
In CM 2 there is a scenario designer named WWB...are they the same person ?

Hallo lads !
To mister Cookie Monster : playing stradegy games alone isn´´t that stupid . I used to play tabltop games against myself so i knew all tactics that could be used...so i won against most of my opponents .
To the neighbour of the 77 year old CM player : my best regards to you and him . Are you from germany or austria ? By the way , we use to drink lots of beer when playing Hotseat games , so the more turns a battle has , the more violent our orders become....forward men ! close combat ! etc etc....

Is there a chance to download your conversions anywhere ? By the way i don´´t like PE.

You are rigth , it´s a scale thing. ...but the other way round. PE scenarios are about 10 square kilometres which is a bit too large for CMBO . There are also more tanks involved than in most CM scenarios . I just thought it would be fun to play with all those small battlegroups roaming across the map like in PE.

That few guys play hotseat ?! We are about seven mates who play hotseat all the time ! It´s much more fun then tcp/ip....try it !

What i miss are bunkers where you are able to put ypur troops in . When i first encounterd bunkers in CM i was surprised that the have a fixed crew and weaponry . from various tabletop games i was used to purchase a bunker and then put whatever infantry i liked in it ...
What are your opinions on this ?

airplanes can crash on the battlefield ???? i´ve played a lot of cm battles but thus never happened . are you really sure about it ? ...if so what does it look like ?

No ? all scenarios i´ve downloaded so far are ultra large with hundreds of tanks and units standing on a flat plane with almost no cover. i know such scenarios are available for cmbo too but there are much more smaller ones with far mor possibilities ....mostly the asl conversions , thats why i asked for them !

Is there any webpage dedicated to asl scenario conversions ? in cmbo they are the best .
By the way do you also think that the scenarios awailable for cmbo are much better than that for barbarossa ?

Possibly the gun was loaded with an HE round so they fired it instead of reloading the gun with a HEAT round....On the other hand the takAI fires HE rounds until they score a hit and then fires the more precious HEAT rounds so they won´t be wasted...

i am sorry but i don´t think that battles in the desert will be that interresting. 8.8 gunning down hundreds of allied tanks....maps that are too large to few ....
and to buy a game just because multi turreted vehicles ????
BTW where are the arabique troops ??

....I did some research and found a picture showing M4 Sherman with a 50cal mounted on the turret to fire forward...i guess it was 1945 in Austria

Thanks for the replys....but what about german AA MG´s. I´ve seen some pictures of Panzer III and IV having a flexible MG mounted on the turret...how common was this ? and why we don´t have this in Combat Mission ?

If i am for sure you can fire the 50.cal AA MG allround the tank ?

thanks for the answer....but it depends on what game you play...in battlefield 1942 you can opperate an battletank on your own...

...going back to the topic
In Vienna we had a battery of that large callibre Flak guns mounted on some buildings or flak towers and they brought the russian advance in some villages far away to a halt...i don´t know the distance exactly but i has been some kilometers...(they fired from vienna to Mannswörth as far as i know)

I think we should make a list of things that appear to be bugs that are still in version 1.2 and i think there are still a lot...
Let me start
1. :The super throwers....sometimes my units are able to throw grenades and cocktails over 100 to 200 meters. (in night battles)
2.:There is a bug with the italian tank destroyer
(i guess it is the semovente?). when it´s buttoned you can see the feet of the crewman below the vehicle...
