  1. Thanks a lot, I managed to find every single file and save them into a separate directory. I wasn't aware of the fact that there were date-time groups

Now, all I have to do is to find the time to look at the four hour replay :D

  2. Hi all,

I'm new to this game (have been playing it for a couple of days) and yesterday I completed the Task Force Mizokami scenario, which I enjoyed enormously. I had "Autosave every turn" checked because I knew I would like to see the replay of the battle later. Problem is, I have played ten or so other scenarios since then and now when I want to go back and look at the Mizokami replay, my autosave folder is filled with lots and lots of files.

My question is: are the files named systematically or are their names random? What I would like to do is copy all Mizokami files into a separate folder, but I can't find them without looking at all the files in the folder.

    Love the game, BTW.

The only differences between units are experience, weapon load and unit size.
  4. I was checking out a couple of new mods I've downloaded when I saw a tank with schuerzen. I thought for a little while about how cool it looked and I then began to wonder why it was never mounted on the backs or fronts of tanks.

Not mounting it to the front could be because the front armour was considered adequate to withstand most rounds, but the back of a tank generally has thinner armour than everything else, making it a prime target for ATR's and other small-calibre AT weapons.

Aerodynamics could be another possible explanation (I don't know if that was taken into consideration in AFV designing though), but if you mounted it on the back of the vehicle it would hardly matter.

  5. I definetly vote for CMBB. It has all the good things from CMBO, plus some more stuff like realistic MG's, more movement commands, more units, more realism, more players and last but not least, Überfinns :D

When I heard that CM2 was going to be about the eastern front, my first tought was that it was a very, very bad decision. Anyway, I decided to read a few books about the eastern front, just to get a feel of what the fighting would be like and realized that it was not a bad decision at all.

If you feel that the eastern front is less interesting than the western front, I recommend you to do what I did and read a few books about it. You won't regret it ;)
