  1. Rune, I mean no offense, of course. I did not mean to imply that you or other designers were exploiting their sacrifice and I am glad to hear that veterans have contacted you regarding scenarios. Also glad for a clarification re: what constitutes "Historical" vis-a-vis CM:BB. -SK
  2. Fellas, Done more than a few scenarios. All of them related to some battle or another. (One day, I'll do a fictional one...may be.) But I've never had the gumption to label the battle "Historical." It seems to me that there are way too many unknown historical factors to deem a scenario "Historical" (e.g. map, names, exact unit mixes, ... etc.) Also, and this may sound a bit weak, it seems like a disservice to those who actually fought in these battles for me to say I've somehow captured the true history of an encounter. So I say, "Semi-Historical" no matter what. What do you think? -Steven Kleary
  3. In my experience TCIPers are, in general, better players. TCIPer are able to play more games in a given time period, allowing them to learn the game at a faster pace and giving them the advantage over time. When I played PBEM, I played five or six games at a time that would last for about 2-3 weeks each. When I played TCIP, I played two or three games a night. I learned the game much faster. Be it Quick Battle, Modified Quick Battle or scenario, I'd bet on the TCIPer every time.

  7. We almost have our quartet! Once the four teams have committed, they will be announced on the BF Board.
  8. NP MadMatt. I personally like the Stryker Rarity Rules as well. Add them to the bidding system and this could be a blast.

  11. Rugged Defense, BoB, CMHQ (Mad Matt) Canadian CM (Mike D.), & Scenario Depot, Having a bear trying to reach you. TH invites you and your team to compete in the 4HM Tourney - details at http://thforums.com/CMBO/modules.php?op=modload&name=XForum&file=viewthread&tid=46 The exact specifics of the tourney are still on the "table" for debate, but the general format is set. I need to know if you are "in". If so, post here or at the TH forum and list the GENERAL for your team. TH WILL FIELD A TEAM! The FIRST THREE TEAMS TO RESPOND WILL RECEIVE AN ENTRY. We want to get this Tourney going ASAP so as not to butt heads with CM:BB! The tourney will be seriously low-stress (as you will be sharing victory and defeat with your friends) and a ton of fun as each game (the maps, included) will be studied by the CM community. Good manners and sportsmanship are essential. Cheers. -Atlas p.s. Just in...MR. WINECAPE, friend of all that is CM, is backing this one. Cheers to WC! 13. The Tournament Invitations have been emailed to potential teams. I tried to contact Rugged Defense, but my email bounced back. If anyone from that fine organization can reply, do so here or post at the TH forum. The first three teams to reply, will get first consideration. Thank you.
