  1. That's a very interesting way of looking at current events. metadata don't lie.
  2. No they don't suck. They just cannot react very fast. If they have time and clear, concise information to work with, they are a lot better at producing material.
  3. Yes... Lose 10k+ troops and thousands of vehicles for a distraction. I remain a master strategist. -Darth Putin (credit)
  4. Too bad he got lost in time. It is a different world these past few decades and old Henry relies on a world view that is no longer applicable. Ukraine needs our support, certainly not the advice he shared.
  5. At the tactical level, some moves become strategic. https://www.the-sun.com/news/5369483/putin-loses-legendary-sniper-colonel-botched-river-crossing/
  6. You said "well on the way to be decided". Nothing has been decided. The entire situation remains fluid and fraught with world wide influencing peril. On all fronts (social, economic and military).
  7. How does Russian arty find their targets? They look at the smoke from their burning AFV's and plot forward. Chuckle....
  8. "When we understand that slide, we'll have won the war" - General Stanley McChrystal
  9. https://birdsarentreal.com/ Don'tcha know that Birds are already government controlled robots.
  10. I think the smoke was more for in distress/casualty spotting on behalf of the men under fire.
  11. From twitter postings - "This is the Russian Guard riot police and a collaborator from Kabarda, such is their technique."
  12. The guys and gals at OSINT have a pretty good sense of humor. Some of the tweets in the thread are absolutely hilarious.
  13. Good points. My take on Germany is the are scarred from past history, both WWII and the occupation under the Soviet Union. They have lost their identity, or humbly, are seeking to find a new one. The rest of the former eastern bloc, have no such thoughts or feelings and are attempting to head the beast off as soon as possible.
  14. Darn right the West has been reacting. Look at where it has gotten a sovereign nation. It is past time we react, and instead act. We are dealing with a dictatorship that has brought war to Europe on a grand scale.
  15. Now the issue should be foresight into the reality of "eradication of the fascist criminal hoard". Someone or some think tank has got to be running numbers on the cost of the war in terms of the global economy for the next 5 to 20 years if the hoard continues to exist. Obviously human lives matter little to many nations not shedding blood in Ukraine, else the hoard would not continuing their offensives. But what of the cost of not getting involved more directly? I think we are looking at a global reset in economies for the next 5-20 years, easy, and not for the better, with Ukraine fighting alone. We cannot have business as usual after this, it is time to test the "red lines".
  16. Supremely and utterly disappointed by the Chancellor's announcement. One has to wonder now about Germany as leadership player in the EU. War is on in their neighborhood.
  17. 3m Painters tape in short supply. There is talk of refitted/resupplied units bearing those. And the validity (timeframe) of the picture is now in question. Could be older pre-war war-gaming.
  18. I thought that city to be on the verge of surrender?
  19. Better, but the next step - Hack it, return to sender.
  20. Mechanize the person for ranging in kilometers, not metres, and you don't need MBT's or IFV's. Space Lobsters come to mind.
  21. I am waiting for that someone in the Military, whose love for Mother Russia and their institute of the Military - to step forward. My goodness, that career military person has just been embarrassed on the world stage and now in history for some ex-KGB bureaucrat? They know their whole being and world has been dismantled, forever, with Putin in power.
