  1. I have a new review for CMBB: Hot Damn, BTS software has taken a good thing and made it better! The attention to detail, and realistic military action make this game a masterpiece of Simulation warfare. One warning though...valid military tactics are required to win.

    CMBB: 99.99%

  2. I am wondering about Sharpshooters chances to hit. I can draw a line of site and get info for a vehicle or an infantry unit (exposure, firepower etc.) but have no idea about a sharpshooters lethality. I do however, employ them mainly as scouts, but would like to learn to use them better.

  3. I've played about 10 TCP/IP games with my buddy, and I am always the Soviets. He thought it was bad to see tons of Shermans, I have him positively sick of T-34s. One of our battles took place in rain and fog, a good portion of his force bogged in and quicky became worthless.

Utilizing many of the tactics I learned to use with Shermans against the Panther and Tiger tanks I find the T-34s to be quite useful. Getting T-34s into the German rear is devilishly fun...Even against King Tigers.

  4. You mean Advance tires your guys out, just like the manual states!!?? Cool!

I've had no problem utilizing all of the types of movement. I usually use "Move to Contact" when going through woods. As soon as my guys spot the enemy they stop and engage, instead of wandering past them like the "Move" order sometimes did.

  5. The only road on the map splits it evenly between the allied and axis sides. My seven vanilla Shermans have all been knocked out, but last turn I knocked 3 of his panthers out. The M10 TDs and a 57mm AT gun finally got some side aspect shots in.

All the advice given has been great, and much of it I had already put into use(smoke and buttoning him with arty).

The question is meant to be very generic for QB maps that use "Flat" "Clear" and "Rural" for parameters. I appreciate the tactical ideas, they will be very helpful in mauling my "Cat Lover" friend

  6. I thought I'd read somewhere that the engines on the Tiger were bad enough that the Russians would basically use em 'til they broke down and then abandon them. Unlike captured Pz III that they either had enough parts for or they were reliable enough to bother repairing. Can't remember where I read this though....(Achtung Panzer website? wwiivehicles.com?)
