Infantry are abstracted to be in the are where their icon is. They are not actually lobbing their satchel charges 30 meteres, you can assume some brave soul (idiot?) ran the charge closer before tossing it or placing it.

I had a friend who used a sturmtiger on me yesterday. He was all happy that it got 57 infantry kills and a Sherman(76) before it died. I was more proud of my Sherman(76) that got 8 infantry, 1 Tiger, and 1 Sturmtiger...and survived the battle (I lost one Sherman(76) for his 2 Tigers and 1 Sturmtiger losses in the armor side of the battle). I hate the Sturmtiger, you button them, but somehow they use their crane to reload.

MasterGoodale not a rookie? From the look of his sig line playing him would be a waste of time. I mean Snarker and I beat eachother to a standstill, and I've managed to squeek past Axe twice. They've already put MG bed and he wants back out on the porch with the big dogs already? I guess he is at least a brave puppy;)

I have bought trucks on several occasions to tow guns. As bonus they could fit a LMG/HMG to help cover the gun while it set up. I then usually keep the truck nearby if there is cover for it to facilitate moving the gun later if needed. I can also use the truck to go back to haul more stuff if that is needed...like to pick up a HMG team that covered on advance across some ground that is no longer covering anyone. Of course, my truck drivers won't want to say nice things about casualty rates....

I find a lot of players that do well with this set up "task forces" that will be doing a specific mission during the battle. This is very similar to the above post, but the idea helps.

Soddball the only person giving me a pounding at the moment is Nippy . I could use another opponent. I'll be up for a rematch against Nippy too, my forces pretty much failed to achieve in our current game. If Snarker has recovered from the mutual nut-kicking we gave eachother I can fling TNT that direction too..... :mad: :mad: :mad:

Expensive? Those are some of the cheaper Russian tanks you can get. Sure, I could have got the 76mm guns instead of the 85mm, but that doesn't save me too many points....

Nippy I'm surprised you did not mention to the world the ingnominous loss of my SU-76 to a single burst of MG42 fire from 250 meters. That really blew (considering it was my last armored vehicle, and the 3 T-34/85s did jack crap). I can only be proud of my few Pioneers that are now occupying German trenches. However, I don't think they'll ever want to move out of the trench to continue to the objective.... :mad:

I think my disappearance started some time around when Iraqi Freedom started.....
Aces, did we have a game going? If we did I'm sure the turns are lost as I have had a horrible formatting incident since the last time I got some PBEM game in.
Axe...turn out to you soon, do you still prefer Germans in CMAK or was that just for CMBB? (I'm sure I can put you into a nice Italian Job)
