  1. Dave I can see your quote there trying to look like George W said he never stops thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, but isn't that exactly what one of the accusations of the 9/11 commission was? That the FAA, CIA, and FBI did not contemplate or "have enough imagination" to see what Al Qaida could pull off with captured airplane? Of course, Tom Clancy had just sort of an attack written into "Debt of Honor" years before Al Qaida made there attack, so maybe they just stole his idea.

If I could think of something innovative and resourceful to stop your Matties from mashing my Italians I would. So far, the entrenched field gun seems to work best.

  2. Snarker's Axis side of the Kasserine Pass scenario didn't quite turn out as the historical version did. I don't think the 10th Panzer would have had much of a reputation left if the green US troops had actually done that to them.

If it makes you feel better Snarker I stopped Axe's Axis advance at Wiltz just as cold (but with less mud). USA USA USA!

DaveH is just now getting contact with my entrenched Italians. We'll see how they fare soon.

  3. Axe, since you seem to have them all...

Got the lyrics to Nina's 99 Luft Ballons (99 Red Balloons in the inferior english I think)? That way I can quite making up german words when I sing along! Don't tell me your not old enough to have heard of it either, its one of MTVs first runs like that Safety Dance...err...thingy.

Oh, and if you want you can do the setup this time or I can do another "setup". Was what Watson got a stand-up (or is it stood up)? It's okay Watson I never had much luck with blondes anyway, so I married a brunette.

  4. Didn't a British Tank shoot another British tank during the latest Gulf War? Why, yes they did. That does not mean British soldiers are bad, it just means like every country in the world, soldiers screw up in combat. At least US guys figure out what happened and admit to it. Most countries don't know what the hell they hit. Or, they are just such bad shots that friendly fire isn't an issue.

Also, if you didn't notice we do still have troops helping out in Afghanistan. So no, we have not forgotten about them. But then if we have to stay permanently in every country we liberate, shouldn't we still have troops in France?

Oh and Spears, its spelled "soldier" "Bosnia" and "Afghanistan". If you are a "soldier" shouldn't you be able to spell it? Or did the British education system miss that in your case? I know you have some words like colour, and defence, but "soilder" I don't think is one of those different words in the UK.

Most of the British troops I've met were very friendly and professional. I'm glad to go into combat with them anytime.
