  1. Heinz:

I have been enjoying your DAK medium panzer series as well, what's more I am pleased to see you are receptive to feedback, which brings me to my point:

On several models you have added 2-D road wheels to the front hulls, while this is a great detail in concept, the in-game effect strikes me as disjointed in that CMAK already displays such flourishes in 3-D on many of the same models.

Could you also provide a .zip pack for the appropriate panzer hulls without the roadwheels?

Thanks for both your work and for breathing life into these terrific models.

  2. Lou and others:

i too experience this, what follows is the text from my original post regarding this issue:

    'bug/graphic anomaly:

certain graphic elements leave telltale remainders when they come in contact with the topmost portion of the black boxes framing the in-game interface, particularly when scrolling across the terrain.

the two sources of this fault I have noticed thus far are the descriptive text, which appears when placing a unit on varied terrain (i.e. “scattered trees, rocky, palm trees”) and the multiple select tool (left click, expanding blue box).

to quickly view an example of what i am describing, simply enter the game and open/drag the multiple select box across the top of one or both of the bottom black boxes and a blue line will “stick” to the top of the black field(s) even after the multiple select tool is disabled.

a minor point by some standards, but it seems a shame to let this issue slide when such a high degree of polish has been applied to other facets of the game.'

perhaps this information will shed additional light on the situation.

...all-in-all an astoundingly great game by the way, i did not purchase CMBB, thus all of the enhanced features and graphics are quite new to me. at last, the ubiquitous m4 comes into its own right...

  5. Lucky:

Any chance you will put together a MkV Ausf.A (CMBO)? The Ausf.G's are unrivaled.

You have crafted the best textures I have seen in a considerable amount of time, thus I would love to round out the CMBO Panther set with your work.

If need be, you could simply rework 4360.bmp (exhaust pipes) to match an existing camo scheme (tri-color, ambush, etc.), seeing as this is the only .bmp on the actual hull which varies from the Ausf.G model(s).

If you you are feeling especially ambitious, you could also match a scheme to a set of schurzen (4361.bmp) to compliment the Ausf.A.

Once again, thanks for the truly magnificent additions.

  6. ...i am attempting to implement these rather handsome camouflage textures, however:

...the front, lower half of the achilles turret appears as a visually “flat” brown panel – is the texture somehow missing or otherwise incomplete?

...also, is there no option for a U.S. “field drab” (non-black) tank destroyer without the aerial recognition panel (3361.bmp)?

...my thanks for any clarification, as i would surely like to put this work to use...

  7. ...i reckon you can count me “in”, or “out”, as it were...

...while I have a regard for the actions on the “eastern front” in terms of understanding the overall scope/context of the war, admittedly my interest is rather tepid beyond that point. yes sir, flanking a strongpoint in the normandy hederows or working a broken-down platoon of yanks up another aachen roadway puts the hook in me every time...

...what’s more, i can devote a rather limited time to gaming and even though i have owned combat mission for a bit more than a year, i feel as though i have barely scratched the surface (besides, it took me this long to finally arrange/edit all of the .bmp and .wav files in order to make them just so – i’ll be damned if I’m going to start that process anew any time soon).

...i’ll eagerly soak up any new features and dole out my dollars when it’s time to hit the shores of anzio or lock horns with rommel at kasserine, until then...
