One small question, are all GeForce 2 family of video cards compatible with CM.

I have been preety happy with the AMD procesors for a while, but heared a few people were having problems with the Athlon, like the problem i had, and i switched back the Intel. Which processor do you suggest.

My computer is in the shop beacuse i thought my old video card went on my computer. I had a Athlon 1.4 thunderbird and got so hot it burnt up. so i just ordered a P4 1.8 with a new mother boared and 256 of superfast ram. I also upgraded my Voodoo Banshee with a GeForce 2 DDr card. Is there a guideline that someone has come up with to make a scenario, or create a scenario a little less difficult. I have been finding things out the hard way and it takes myself forever to start creating a scenario. I also would like to know if anyone has a mod out their using a steel bridge, i would like to make an Arnhem scenarios. Just thought i would trow this question out to anyone interested out there.

which is a better card for CM a GeForce Asus or Galaxy 64 meg DDR, what is the difference?

which video card on the market right now would be good for CM, with little or no problems?

So the TI 200 Geforce3 will work well with the second installment of combat mission and will there be a fix for the fog tables from the makers of the video card?

What is the latest, and greatest on the video card market for the new, as well as the old, CM games. I currently have a 1.4 Athlon Thunderbird with 256 of DDR Ram. My video card i am using right now is a 16 meg Voodoo Banshee that i purchased about three years ago, it works fine but i will need to up-grade. Any help out there!!

Hey guys lets help this person out! It is no fault of the person buying the sofware or the operating system that is in question,it is the responsibility of the people in charge to apply the proper guidence in fixing the problem. if the the frustration lies beyond a buyers control, lets guide our freind in need and not shoot the messanger. Good points by Linda, i am not buying a copy of the second edition to CMBO either, until all the problems are solved. In my opionion, it is a superior game, but it has a great deal of problems with video cards, from a lay-mens point of veiw. BATTLEFRONT ROCKS !!!!!

WWb_99-So the GeForce family of video cards are the way to go then for CMBB? What about the DDR cards out there, any worth looking into, or are they a waste of money?

What are some good ways to utilize leaders for spotting and use them effectively,( i cant figure it out) for motor fire in Combat Mission?

SCHRULLENHAFT- So you recomend the GeForce2 cards then? I really did not spend to much for the upgrade; just about $700.50, compared to almost $3000.00 with that particular system, at that time, when i upgraded about six months ago.

I just upgraded from a Pentium 233, so i needed to get the most out of my money beacuse i felt that it would be obselete in 6 months. What video cards will work for CMBB. I have a 16 MB Banshee card which i purchased about three years ago. I just upgraded to a 1.4 Athlon Thunderbird(which has been bechmarked to be just as fast as the P4 chip, not bragging but it seems that with most sofware needs the speed)with 256 DDR 266 mhtz of ram, but how will Microsoft's XP effect CMBB. Uh! I am kind of new, to the helm of CM, should i be scared of the challenge of PENG!!! Who is he? What does he want? WHY DO I HEAR ABOUT HIM ON EVERY CM WEBSITE!

What video cards, 32 meg or 64 meg, are going to be good for CMII,problem less.

What video cards are optimal or bug free for CM and have a chance to upgrade to a 1200 Athlon, Thunderbird CPU. Should i stick with my 320 megs of PC 133 or go with the new DDR ram at 256 megs?

The article "war in 3D" in the new July issue of Computer Games magazine, on CM2, was informative and answered all my questions and expectations for the next chapter in one of the greatest WWII war games of all time. I feel tthat the article written by Robert Mayer was well written, fair and just on the evalution on CM2. My heart pounded as i started to read the article in anticipation on what lay ahead for CM2 and other CM games in the works for the future. The only thing i found disturbing was the fact i bought a 16 meg video card that works well for CM1 and now i have to buy a 32 meg to support CM2. That's ok, beacuse i have already planed to save a little each month for the upgrade for my computer, guess that is the price i pay for perfection in the gaming world. The screen shots look promising in the article as well. Can't wait to start pouring hot lead down range at the Russians in the next most promissing and long a waited game of 2002.

I have no sympathy for the High Russian cammand in WW II. Remember Stalin killed over 40 million people for nothing. Nobody cares about the ten thousand polish officers that were murdered at the hands of the russians when the Germans over ran the country. They did use personel that way in the war and it is documented. :mad:

Curse CM!!! I get home to the trailer park from the university early in the afternoon dont eat or even take a shower, just run to the computer till Midnight, hell sometimes three in the morning playing CM. Nothing gets done; no acedemic reading,term papers , reloading shotgun shells or going out with my girlfreind. I dont need anything else but the dust on face, clanging of the steel tracks of my half track ringing in my ears and the smell of deisel and the acrid smell of gun powder in my nostrils. Ah life is good!!! :cool:

Doing study for graduate school on "Hitlers Secret Weapons," i have found short articles which mentions the Panther II in books, but no tech data, drawings or specs. Are there any out there? What about synthetic fuels and lubricants for Panzer Armie?

No 3D is not important,only the historical aspect of games. I should try spec ops and i cant wait till Russo German War is out in June.
