  1. I can say that I have seen this as well. My question is should there be a difference based on the target. I know this sounds strange (and probably impossible due to the game engine), but my example had an Italian tankette taking 5 40mm (A1 Cruiser) penetrations and continue to maneuver and fire. I thought that was strange in a relatively small vehicle like this.

What's the best size for an icon bmp ( & should I choose cm or pixels )? Lost here & would appreciate some help.

    Thanks.

I believe the size you need is 64X64. Use pixel settings. Double check after you resize. In one or two programs I have used it may give you 64X63 which actually bombs.

Been a few weeks since I did it, but I think this is what you want.

  4. So there I was, minding my own business, when into my inbox drops a missive from someone named Boo. "Who is this impudent whelp?", I ask myself. (Speaking quietly, to not attract any unwanted attention) "Yes," I say. "It is that Graphics Designer from just down the road in Rubber Town. No, wait, he was quite upset with me last time I called him that. He prefers to be called a Commerical Photographer. Yes, that's right Boo is that reprobate who takes pictures of tires, or if he is lucky "Boudoir" shots of overweight, middle-aged, trailer dwellers trying desperately to be young again."

He said something about dipping my toes back in the MBT, as one of the Ladies of the Pool requested former "participants" to check in. Baa. Why should I do such a thing.

    MikeT

Mike, check under ...GEM Software Productions\CM Mod Option Selector\CMBB\Mods\ and you will see a copy of all loaded mods. These zip files are identical to the files downloaded from CMHQ, so the original copy downloaded can be deleted.

Should I download the rulesets and mods into the main CMMOS directory?

    Steve

    Steve,

You can download the mods to any directory. After you "load" the mods into CMMOS you can actually delete the downloaded file, as CMMOS saves a copy of the zip into the ..CMMOS\CMBB\Mods\ folder. As such, the downloaded mod is redundant.

  7. Folks,

As an American who worked in Budapest, and married a Hungarian lady, I would like to point out something. Many Americans do not appreciate History. On the walls of Buda Castle, and on buildings around the city, are scars from bullets, grenades and arty fragments. They come from the WWII battle for Budapest and the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Very few places in the United States reflect history in this way.

Budapest (and Hungary) is a beautiful city full of history. Can anyone living in the United States say they can go to a church that is nearly 1,000 years old? Respect for the past goes beyond having a favorite German uber-tank or knowing the date of a battle.

    Kev,

Make sure that you set the pulldown on the initial screen to Barbarossa to Berlin. Hit the configure button. Choose the Rule Set tab (at top of screen). Then use the add button, find the ruleset on your hardrive and hit Open. The new rule set should show up on the tree on the left side of the screen.

Some rule sets do not come with built in rules. The rule files are copied into the ruleset when you load individual mods.

MikeT, you promised not to do this. "I am avoiding vehicles", you said. "I am working on uniforms", you said. I had barely downloaded this mod, and was about to ask you for the appropriate numbering, and I see this!! Now run back to the uniforms! ;)

While I won't speak for MadMatt or MikeT, I can say that conversions to CMMOS are still occuring. A small group of us has continued to support Gordon's utility. The key question now, is where we will end up posting them. www.cmmods.com is an obvious option, but the bandwidth issues discussed above remain. MikeT is working hard to find the mods a home.
