  1. Bruno - I have a similar story to yours that played out pretty much the same way. My problem was, i had never driven a stickshift in my life, hell i didn't even have a car. Anyway, in the true army spirit, the guy passed me anyway w/o giving me a road test. So 2 hours later, i was driving a 2 1/2 ton, manual shift vehicle, full of troops, down some useless road under blackout conditions. I was stalling, grinding, all sorts of bad stuff. I managed to make it to my destination, but the guys in the back rode me(bad pun) for months over that. What a night, a true trial by fire.
  2. US ARMY - Infantry, Ft. Benning GA. 1988-1992. Participated in Desert Storm, but saw limited combat. Most of the time was spent rounding up prisoners.
  3. There are Naval regulations that specify certain security checks that a crew of a warship must maintain under any heightened security stance. In the report issued by the Navy, several of these regs were not being utilized at the time of the attack. I cannot remember them all, but i know that there was no officer on deck, which is against regs. Also, a crew at port, under threat, is required to have a audio message, in the host country's language, to warn inbound boats to stay away. Those were just two of several. I'm sure the actual report, listing all the infractions could be found on the net somewhere. Would any of those steps stopped the attack, who knows. One thing is for sure, the Ship and her crew are the sole responsibilty of the captain. And any misfortune that occurs, falls squarely on the shoulders of her captain. It has always been that way, and it always will.
  4. Finally caved in and bought CM, the wait is killing me. Anyway, using this time to peruse some sites and such. I noticed that there are all sorts of mods and add-ons of all types. I was wondering which one of these were must-haves, or would really add to the game, especially the graphic mods. Or should i just jump into it fresh out of the box, and worry about any add-ons lately? Would appreciate any info. Thanks
