  1. The curved surfaces version probably would be a fair amount of work (probably CM3) but one with arbitrary height resolution and smoothing (both height and color) shouldn't be more than a few days programming (I've done it in that timeframe myself).
  2. No technical reason why not (other than the fact that the programming is hard). In fact, I'd like to be able specify any arbitrary height (allow for less than a meter difference) and use a Bezier (or any other suitable spline type) curve to give a nice rolling hills effect. (BTW, this is what we do at work to determine line of sight over terrain.)
  3. I'm not a pacifist. Some people just won't listen to reason. -------------------------------------- Do the bad guys think that they are the good guys and that the good guys are the bad guys? - My son Zach at age 3 (he's older now)
  4. I like it! This would keep an element of the unknown in throughout the whole game.
  5. I would like to see a Quick Operations (a contradiction in terms maybe) option in CM if that isn't too ambitious. I like the operations better than standalone battles because I have to worry about troop survival more, and supply, etc. The only problem is that it seems to me that there aren't many of them available for download or on the disk. An option to build a "Quick Operation" would be exactly what I'm looking for.
  6. Correct, I'm not looking at any "abuse" of the game system in the current battle. I figure they are out of this battle. I just want to get them into the next battle (or the one after that) with a new tank (or jeep or whatever). Off topic (sorta) What are the best operations and where do I find them (as I'm partial to them over stand alone scenarios)?
  7. I've tried the Scenario Depot, but it never seems to be working. Anywhere else that has CMBO scenarios for download?
  8. Excuse my ignorance but I'm a newbie and confused. I've done a search on this forum and re-read the manual and I still don't know the answer. Should bailed crew retreat off map or hide on maps in operations? I am reading mixed things about what happens to units that retreat during operations. What I want is the answer that will maximize the chances of these crews getting a new tank (or whatever) next battle. Thanks.
