There are always loads of posts on the forum bitching about some part of CM that made someone mad, so BTS fix this or I will never buy this unit again, ect. How about a post where we tell BTS what we like about CM, a feature or unit that you think works well. I'll start, I love the way BTS allowed infantry squads to attack tanks even if they only have grenades and rifles. Nothing better than seeing a KT taken out by GI Joe with nothing but a grenade and no common sense.

So I am assuming that most people use the Stuart and M8 as tank hunters and only use it against infantry if there are no enemy tanks around? Would you also agree that the MGs are more effective against infantry than the 37mm most of the time?

Has anyone ever had any luck using the 37mm agains infantry? In a recent battle I had a squad attacked by an Stuart who shot at me for 10 min and killed maybe 1 man, it seems like the MGs on the tank do more damage than the 37mm gun does. I assume it is similar to a hand grenade as far as blast radius goes?

This had better be an optional feature, if not it is going to throw off the balance of the QB Meeting Engagements causing an ahistorical preponderance of King Tigers and Jumbo Shermans in relationship to impervious armored cars, plus I already know I suck, I don't need the game to tell me that.

Well I'm not a pacifists but I do wonder sometimes what makes people (myself included) so fascinated by something so violent and terrible, (i.e. war), probably the worst thing any person ever has to go through.

I played someone not to long ago who said he buys them a lot and uses them to rush troops to the victory flag and then ambush the other player when he gets there, unfortunately (for him) I beat him to the flag and blew the trucks away when they arrived but he said that it works sometimes.

When do you guys use them? Meeting Engagements? Defense? And how?

I know it was common towards the end of the war for Allied troops to move between adjacent buildings by knocking holes in the walls, why can't we do this in CM? It sucks to have to go outside when moving between buildings, I always loose men when I do.

Ha Ha, who can top that? And he was moving at top speed, He He He, I was playing my Dad and boy was he pissed. Here was the situation:
"Hey Alfred, watch this, the rocket will go in the back window and out the front door and boom, hit that Stuart going 35 MPH"
"No way Adolph, I'll bet you my next months pay you will never make it."
"Your on!"

This has to be the worlds best Schreck shot ever. American Stuart is moving a full speed down a road at a right angle to my Schreck which is 113m away, the Schrek fires, the rocket goes straight through the middle of a building that is between them and knocks the Stuart out. I could not believe it, I assume they must have left the front door open? I have pictures but I don't know how to put them in the msg.

They may have faded away in real life but they have kicked my butt in a couple of games, they fire very fast and arn't as easy to spot as you might think when dug in.

Tanklover MD, he he, good name, was Tanklover already taken? You can't believe everything you read on this board, most people are fine with the way the game is now and you can win as Axis or the Allies. Some people just have stronger feelings on that subject so they are the ones who post the most. Don't take what is in that thread to be the majority opinion on the subject.

I am a little confused now, I thought that BTS decided what the cost of a unit would be based on it's effectiveness and had nothing to do with historical anything. But now QB points are based on historical factors, I would feel better if it was done one way throughout the whole game. I think that is what is bothering a lot of people.

IMHO this is a must for CM2, come on this is a game after all, it is not real life, so why not put it in, it would be very useful for knowing how effective different units are. Full speed ahead with CM2.

Money makes the world go around, there will always be someone out there making PC Games if there are people out there willing to pay for them, what kind and what quality is another story. I would like to think that the companies that make the best games will get the most business but we all know that is not always the case, but I have faith!
Now speaking of the good old days, remember when there was only Avalon Hill for games and the Apple II+ with a tape deck was the best thing around? I had this cool game called Air Traffic Controller I played that all the time.
