  1. I've seen the same thing in the CM Demo map "Valley of Trouble" In the opening rounds I set my Shermans up behind the scattered trees to keep them out of sight of that nasty 75mm gun that covers the valley. Anyways several turns later I decided to risk bringing my Shermans out to take on the 75mm. I gave one a "hunt" order straight through the scattered trees and turned my attention elsewhere to give other orders. I pressed the "Go" button and about 30 seconds into it I went to check on my tanks... Well! One of them had engaged the 75mm and was backing away and the other was reversing down the hill towards the mines! The first Sherman disappeared from the 75mms sight and turned its' attention on my other tank with its naked butt in full view of every german in the valley. Shells from the 75mm were pounding all round that Sherman as it scrambled back into the trees on the "fast move" order I had given it. It had *just* got back into the trees when a 75mm clouted it squarely on the rear quarters and it burst into flames. (and I into tears - not quite ) All I had to say was: "Well it serves ya bloody right!"
  2. I can imagine, quad 20mm guns punching through a light building would make a swiss cheese out of anyone inside rather quickly.
  3. Well my current car is a HX Panelvan, nothing too fancy - just GTS mags and a 202 with a 350 Holley and extractors... but it gets me round. Thanks for the help there Steve, I got your email too.
  4. Only one thing comes to my mind here and now: "When you go home, tell them of us and say, For your tommorrow we gave our today." I believe it goes something like that.
  5. Wahey - Aussies all round and Monaro lovers too! What more could a bloke ask for? (mebbe a stripper and a coupla kegs but we'll have to be content with this eh) I'm looking at getting a HK/HG/HT body style with a V8 (253/307/308) to start with. Probably be spending $3500 - 5000 on the car itself upfront. Overall project I expect to take 2 years and $15,000 in which I'll be chucking in: Supercharged Chev 400, Turbo 400 adapted for manual shift, Ford 9 inch diff, Dark metallic purple paint job (got a bro in the business there), and various other goodies, sound system, interior etc... I sent off an email to the sales guys last night and still waiting for a reply.
  6. LOL Terence - thanks for the humourous write-up there. Actually I think I will email the sales dudes to make sure there will be no difficulties in ordering the game this way (wouldn't want my hard earned cash to go walkies now would I?)
  7. Well that's certainly a thought - there is the other problem of the exchange rate too... CM costs US$45 + $15 P+H I believe so how much exactly would that be in A$? Or should I just mail more than I need to and recieve a cheque on return for whatever the change should be?
  8. As the topic suggests, I am trying to purchase Combat Mission from the distant land of Australia. I know that it can be ordered online with Mastercard/Visa BUT, the problem is that no-one in my family has either of those cards! As for cheques, you lot will only accept american ones. Is there ANY way to buy this game another way 'coz I REALLY don't want to have to go browsing naughty warez sites to steal it - I read your manifesto and understand why you didn't publish the game like "normal" software developers. Anyways, any input here would be greatly appreciated.
