If you are interested in Eastern Front, take the bundle pack i would say.
Its nice to play with all those Russian units, especially all the armored units
The patches solve most problems, there are a few minor things left like Redwolf allready wrote.
I play both at the moment, and i like both much.

I never use the "seek hull down" command, i always use my Mark I eyeballs
But i was used to do this in CMBO when there was no fancy "seek hull down" command anyway

Did the crew abandon the tank ?
Mostly, the crew panick due to the FT and they abandon , but i also have seen a directly "knock out"
If the flames reached the motor compartment, engine failure can make a knock out i think, but i have not read statistics about how many tanks FT's did KO...
We need some "grogs" for that
Edit: btw welcome to the CM forum Zeez !, its your first post i now see.
It can be very painful to loose an expensive tank ain't it
Tigers are easily lost by flametrowers or a side shot with a powerful AT-gun.
Thats why you need to keep the Tiger far behind your advancing infantery.
Keep the tank in overwatch for your inf. so he can protect them if necessary.
Keep it behind a house or so till you are sure there is no AT gun or other thread luring.
Goodluck

What CPU is that? Pentium? Athlon ?Originally posted by Alfatwosix:I seem to have the same problem on my Sony Vaio PCG-GRV550 with ATI Radeon Mobility 7500C.
Even when setting up a game, sometimes the computer turns itself off (and feels hot). I've tried putting some books under it for better ventilation, but that doesn't help either. Any suggestions?
My last PC was an Athlon 1.4 I took the cover of the PC to prevent overheating/improve airflow.
I now have a Pentium 4 2.8 , i have case closed but with one extra case fan installed.
brw Combat Mission is very demanding for CPU/Vid card, i think more than any new FPS.
In W XP Task Manager, i have CPU usage of close to 80 % with my very fast pc !
So close all background programs when you run CM , especially with a low or midrange pc.

CM will start at the same resolution as your desktop resolution, so set your desktop resolution FIRST at the res. you want for CM if the res. of your desktop is lower.

Oooppsss, sorry Tanks a Lot
That is the "problem" with mods, you dont know how the default was after some time.
-
Grabbed it too ( offcourse, i am in the picture hehe )

Those trees are default in CMBB
Edit: I used the mod which cuts the lower sides of the branches, so the infantery is better visible in battles (forgot name) but the trees itself are default.

I have two questions:
- What are these two .bmp files doing ? : 9029 and 9035.
I want to install only the Normandy tiger, which file should i use ?
- I "seem" to missing one file : .bmp nr. 14699, the small picture of the Normandy tiger, is that right?
Thanks for the mod btw !

AFAIK this is not mistake.Originally posted by von Lucke:Well, since most of the major stuff I've already mentioned is here, I'll throw in two little graphical errors:
The US sniper is holding a M1 Garand instead of the M1903 Springfield.
Combat Mission have only Sharpshooters, so NO Snipers.
Thats why you see the Garand, its a guy with good eyes and a normal Garand who is good for spotting enemy units in front of the other forces, and scare/kill a few tank commanders too.

I just tried a QB, hotseat, English probe 600 points.
Germans had 1 Pak 38 50mm gun, 1 150mm inf gun, 1 Pnz III and some inf stuff.
Limeys had one Matilda, one Valentine, some recon vehicles and a lot of inf.
The PAK 38 killed the Valentine quickly, and got a (lucky?) partial penetration on the Matilda at 550 meters, then some recochets on the Matilda, the crew panicked and reversed out of LOS.
So, one or 2 PAK 38 guns should do the trick maybe, i have to test more.
English should use mortars to knock out the guns as fast as possible when the guns are discovered.
So recon with scout vehicles and keep some HQ units with mortars behind them ( recon vehicles reverse in stead of attacking the guns....)

You can put the CMBB cd in your first drive and the CMAK cd in the second drive.
If you only have one drive, its a good reason to buy a DVD burner
Otherwise there are no options i think

Sorry for the bump, but i think like me a LOT of CM players are desperately waiting for a desert grid line mod for the full CMAK.
My eyes are red and very tired, due to staring for hours to the monitor, trying to find small ridges to hide my poor units when they are on attack
HELP !!!!

Thanks Andrew, very nice
Question: Did you update the DAK uniform mod, i mean did you "repair" the problem with the trouser/bare feet file of the Lufwaffe uniform ?
