  1. Did the crew abandon the tank ?

Mostly, the crew panick due to the FT and they abandon , but i also have seen a directly "knock out"

If the flames reached the motor compartment, engine failure can make a knock out i think, but i have not read statistics about how many tanks FT's did KO...

We need some "grogs" for that ;)

Edit: btw welcome to the CM forum Zeez !, its your first post i now see.

It can be very painful to loose an expensive tank ain't it ;)

Tigers are easily lost by flametrowers or a side shot with a powerful AT-gun.

Thats why you need to keep the Tiger far behind your advancing infantery.

Keep the tank in overwatch for your inf. so he can protect them if necessary.

Keep it behind a house or so till you are sure there is no AT gun or other thread luring.

    Goodluck

What CPU is that? Pentium? Athlon ?

My last PC was an Athlon 1.4 I took the cover of the PC to prevent overheating/improve airflow.

I now have a Pentium 4 2.8 , i have case closed but with one extra case fan installed.

brw Combat Mission is very demanding for CPU/Vid card, i think more than any new FPS.

In W XP Task Manager, i have CPU usage of close to 80 % with my very fast pc !

So close all background programs when you run CM , especially with a low or midrange pc.

    AFAIK this is not mistake.

Combat Mission have only Sharpshooters, so NO Snipers.

Thats why you see the Garand, its a guy with good eyes and a normal Garand who is good for spotting enemy units in front of the other forces, and scare/kill a few tank commanders too.

  4. I just tried a QB, hotseat, English probe 600 points.

Germans had 1 Pak 38 50mm gun, 1 150mm inf gun, 1 Pnz III and some inf stuff.

Limeys had one Matilda, one Valentine, some recon vehicles and a lot of inf.

The PAK 38 killed the Valentine quickly, and got a (lucky?) partial penetration on the Matilda at 550 meters, then some recochets on the Matilda, the crew panicked and reversed out of LOS.

So, one or 2 PAK 38 guns should do the trick maybe, i have to test more.

English should use mortars to knock out the guns as fast as possible when the guns are discovered.

So recon with scout vehicles and keep some HQ units with mortars behind them ( recon vehicles reverse in stead of attacking the guns....)
