I think this is great guys! This one Russian dude not only knows about tanks (great web site man, I mean really. I am going to throw down about the other stuff but the site is Rockin!!!) but he knows what race people are better than the people themselves! AND he thinks that cause I live in Florida I am a different race than someone from Georgia!!! That is so funny I spit coke on my monitor and my mom thought I was sick. Then you have this other guy PzKpfw 1 who says, er yeah I agree!! with the Russian guy just because the Russian guy is his expert witness. That is because he was getting his butt whipped over this tank thing. Hey, I if I agree with you will you give me 20 bucks!!! Next you have this Paul Lakowski, who started the whole race flame thing cause he was gettin his butt whipped, and now that he got his butt whipped on the race thing he wants to go back to tanks. (I am no science guy, but how do they know how far away to fire a bullet so it doesn't effect the other bullets, did they say? Seems silly to shoot that tank full of holes like that. Besides, the King Tiger Rocks! I told you I was a King Tiger Bigot!!!!) Next you have the saner heads, RMC, Haufbauer, Vanir, who think they are going to change these guys minds by presenting argument. I love these guys for how they are like trying to teach school, but no one is listening at all. And you got the makers of the game, the guys you gotta convince, and they are the ones these people are pissing off the most! (My favorite is still the guy who stuck his head in and said, duh, I can't figure out the tarot cards). I have decided to be the dorky kid who tells it like it is (well, I am a dorky kid, at least I don't hang out with the Jocks) in this soap opera. I hope the guys who run this thing never shut it down. No way is anyone going to get anything done, unless you have the Hofbauer guy and the Vanir guy (I assume guys?) form their own chat group on this As the Turret Turns is the funniest show on the web!!!!!

PS- I would invite Granddad on to argue this point but he thinks these games are silly and he would probably get me banned from this list, and then I would miss my favorite soap opera, As the King Tiger turns. Thanks! Tom

That is funny -- I wish my Grandfather could hear you calling him a Russian. Sort of like me calling you a German because they almost owned Russia! Or calling an English person a Roman cause Rome used to occupy them (don't believe that one? Rome really did occupy England!) So you are saying that anyone who Russia beat up becomes a Russian? I guess someone needs to tell the Finnish that they are Russian. Or did they beat the Russians up so they are not Finnish! By the way, my grandfather (Mom's dad) is from Estonia and he hates Russians (he is also a bigot I mean he hates Russians so bad it is scary, but he is my Grandpa, what can you do) so this means he hates himself? I would tell him he was Russian but he would have a stroke and die. Now I am not really Estonian because the rest of me is nothing (who knows where they came from) but I think that it is really weird to call everyone the Soviet Union conquered Russian. Thanks! Ouch! I sure am not a rocket scientist. I guess they speak English in Canada . Maybe BigTime should program a pop up box that shows the previous guys posts when you post your stuff. Or for me, I would like a pop up box that said, "is this post stupid?"

That may be unfair to the guy. He does seem to not read anyones posts, but he may not reading his native language. I bet it is like me after a year of Spanish, I can figure out how to ask for a beer (and they do not card in Yucatan!!!!) and if I can use the bathroom, but if somebody told be my bus was leaving I might think they were saying how much they liked the food. I cannot imagine trying to understand a Spanish chat group. Maybe someone can cross post in the language he speaks originally? That may be a nice thing to do. I know no one cares what my biology professor says (heck, even I don't sometimes -- I think I am getting a C in his class), but when I thought the science thing was stupid I asked him what he thought. The professor teaches one class at SPJC and works for some medical company making drugs so he is not some scientist guy that you are so upset about, just wanted to add that (you probably have to be pretty swift to be a medical researcher or I guess people will keel over dead when they take your drugs if you are not). Anyway, he said the same thing! He said it is like a court case, and the defendent is the current thinking, and the persecutor is the new thinking, and you have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the new thinking is worthy or else the most you can do is cast doubt, and that makes people real upset because it is like telling the world that someone raped their dog then saying, umm.. I can't prove it, but he did. (The prof did not add the raping dog, I just thought his example may be to out there for you all). He gave me a book to look up on it, and after I read it I will post what it says. Thanks for listening! Tom

And I called his (her?) argument stupid Well, he is still a little crazy about the race thing but I think this has turned out like a great soap opera. Well, the guys who made the game answered me. That is very cool. I was reading the other list and starting to think a King Tiger couldn't take on a vegetable cart . I am not a grog (whatever that is) but this has been a great list to read on my day off. I was getting the impression from other threads that no one listened to each other or read each other's posts -- especially when it comes to the 88, but I am wrong. And I even posted a dumb question and was treated nice. Thanks!!!

If it were directed at me, it would be offensive I think. I don't think it was racism, his terms are all screwed up. Not really nationalism. More like plain old bigotry. But bigotry is nothing to get all worked up over -- lots of people are bigots about lots of things -- I happen to like King Tigers so I am a King Tiger Bigot. That other guy is just a bigot against people who live in the west. I live in the west and was not offended because he was really just shooting one across this Slapwagon guy's bow. You know -- start a flame war to shut up a guy who is getting the best of you. What is most stupid is Slapwagon should have just said I am ignoring your attempts to start a flame war and kept on with what he was saying. He was doing pretty well even though I did not understand him at first. At least the other guys lost it and started the flame things -- which in my book means they were loosing bad. I had someone try to start a flame war like that with me on the Unreal group (I am Combatboy there too and I just e-mailed him on the side and said I don't flame dummy, and he e-mailed me and said neither do I, and now we are playing a game. I think maybe it was just a misundertanding

OK, I reread the posts and I feel stupid. You are talking about Internet Games. Thanks for being nice to me *Captain Foobar*. Now, I am taking this from another thread, but on the King Tiger thread they are talking about how weak the 88mm cannon is. If it is so weak, why is anyone worried about facing a tank with it? Now I am not going to drag that stuff in here (those guys talking about the King Tiger do not take kindly to criticism and this seems a much better group here) but they say it isn't very powerful in the game and that BTS messed it up on purpose (you got me why), but maybe they did it just so people would be able to use King Tigers and things without messing up the game. Does this effect this Cherry Picking stuff?

Seems like the sharpshooters are really weak. I only use them as scouts anyway, what else do you use a guy with 10 shots for? One time though I killed a tank commander with one, so I am willing to admit being stupid about them. How do you use them?

You know, I read it all again, and I think that Vanir has the best angle. I understand slapwagons stuff now, all he is sayin is the guys who wrote the game don't need to prove their stuff, you need to prove it -- makes sense, but maybe he is going over everyones heads the way he writes it. Vanir says, hey it kills tanks on the moon who cares. This JoePrivate comes out of nowhere and says he can't figure out the posts (read them again would be my suggestion -- you missed something somewhere -- I figured it out in an hour or so) and the rest are more interested in being right than showing your right. The other thing is I did a search and there is another one of these things, and the BigTime software people seem to have answered a lot. Have you ever thought of just refering back to what they said? It is back a couple of weeks ago. So maybe you should listen to this Vanir guy instead of ignoring him -- he has the best take on the whole thing. Of course I am just a newbie, so you all may not listen, but this thing is all silly.

Well, I don't think US Jeeps should be able to do any recon, they were way to wimpy for that.

I know you guys don't like people to disagree with you, and since I am new to the thread I am sticking my neck out here. I think that comment was predjudice and maybe ignorant, but I also think that guy has a 1st Amendment Right to say it. Slapdragon sounds like he is some sort of minority, so maybe he is just more touchy than the rest of us are. So if he just agreed that people had the right to say things even if they are predjudice, and if you agreed he was allowed to be against it, then it would all be ok. His science stuff though is stupid. You guys are right, it is just a game, and German tanks rocked in real life, so making sure they rock in the game is cool! I don't understand the whole tarot thing. I hated science in College cause they are so uptight about everything. He made a good point though. Even I know that Russians and Soviets are two different things. I had a class at SPJC in European history, and you guys keep saying Russian, when it is Soviet -- cause there was a hole lot more people in that country than just Soviets. I think if I want to buy a King Tiger I should be allowed to. Why is everyone down on the best tank in the game? Those Puma's are not any good for anything, but I think the rest of the Germans rock!
