  2. S&H was 8 bucks. And it most definatly is worth it. ------------------ Hot enough for ya'? DaKilnGuy
  3. I tried every command it wouls let me but all i could give was movement commands. The game wouldn't allow me to give ANY targeting commands, not cancel or next or nuthin. ------------------ Hot enough for ya'? DaKilnGuy
  4. I just finished a game in which I was using a T8 recon vehicle to drop off a arty spooter at an otherwise inconvenient location. After Stopping long enough for these 2 morons (I love this game) to shout "Chinesse Fire Drill", twice. (nothing against the chinese) I then proceeded to quickly scout the far side of a small blindspot. At which time it locked onto a Panzergrenadier Squad with its .50 cal. I was pleased to find it had survived 2 turns of engagement with the squad before a few passing engineers helped to route them. Moving on to bigger and better things I the maneuvered the same recon vehicle to the other side of the map were me rifle platoon was in need of some assistance suppressing a problematic mortar team. I then noticed the vehicle was still targeting the same squad as it fled to the nearest copse of cover. In fact it targeted the same squad even after it had been eliminated. I tried every turn to designate another target but the game wouldn't let me. I would have been more upset had it been one of my sherman instead of just a little T8. Anyone had this kind of problem? ------------------ Hot enough for ya'? DaKilnGuy
  5. I've been wargamming for 15 years, from Risk to Axis and Allies, from Squad Leader to Rise and Decline of the Third Reich. So perhaps my opinion is a little "Hard Core". But, Once you learn the basic mechanics and controls of the game, I'm sure you'll find it no more complex than a good game of Stratego. Yet were this game realy wins out is the amount of information the player is able to obtain about just how well his forces are performing in the heat of battle. The depth of individuality between the units is remarkable and very useful once you get the practice. It is indeed worth the pesos. the more patient you are with it the more you will enjoy it. You have my word on that. ------------------ Hot enough for ya'? DaKilnGuy
  6. I must start by saying "I Love this Game!!". I find it to be a uniquely enjoyable challenge and its just the kind of game I've dreamed of sinc I started playing Squad Leader about 14yrs ago. The only Part of this game I have yet to enjoy is PBEM. I've tried being polite and engagingly opinionated and even tried being rude. As yet I have not found anyone to play a game with me. Actually, I'd be happy to PBEM just about anyone, as long as your not a poor winner. I've only had the game a few weeks but I played the demo to death while I waited on the USPS. I will respond to all emails as promptly as possible. I will play almost any game. Being that I have only played as the Americans and the American Airborn, I'm not sure how good I am as the other nationalities but I Bet it would be fun to try them out. I'm just looking for a friendly game, Win or Lose. Thank you in advance and happy gaming J ------------------ Hot enough for ya'? DaKilnGuy

  9. I loved Sgt.Rock. As a kid my father was in the army. When I was 8 we moved to germany. And before we left, my uncle gave me his entire collection of Sgt. Rock comics. About 60 in all and there was a liberal dose of weird war and I think I even remember the Haunted Tank. Did it picture Jeb Stuart on horseback in scenes with the tank? I would read those comics for hours and then find some interestingly shaped part of the floor for the biggiest, bloodiest wars any plastic army man ever experienced. Of course good old Sarge and Easy Co. always found a way to pull through. I guess I've always been a wargammer, and I probably always will be. PBEM anyone? ------------------ Hot enough for ya'?
