Well, so far so good. I used system restore, went back two weeks. I played twice last night and no blue screens either time. We'll see.

Hey guys, Actor, I tried the anti-viral fix. Turned off floppy check. This didn't help me. So you found out that this is global. I'll read the thread. I may end up trying the "system restore" tool to go back before the problem. Thanks Jeff

Good deal Actor! I'll look into that tonight. You were right, my blue screen came back. I have tried running Word before shutdown- no help. I did notice that my problem seemed to be related to how long I had been playing CM. IE, I played for about 10 minutes, quit, shutdown, no problem. But, when I really played (2 hours) then shutdown, Blue Screen!

I didn't get a chance to try last night. I'll try tonight to see if the "fix" seems to still be working. Actor did you try it?

My situation sounds just like Actor's. I only get the message when I shut down the computer after playing CM. I also installed the latest Detonator 3 drivers from Nvidia. Also have 64Mb GeForce GTS. The error is: "Windows protection error. System Halted. Restart your computer." Last night I went in and deleted my CM config file and restarted CM. I did not get the WPE when I shut down, but I want to try it again tonight. Jeff

Has anyone had a problem shutting down Windows ME after playing CM? Any fixes?

The other Govenor Generals Horse Guards, North Africa and Italy - "D-Day Dodger! He's ok about telling stories. He always reinforces what you guys say about German tanks. They fire, it bounces off, then run like hell and try to gey a flanking shot. Trees are good!
