  1. I think there are more than two of us but i suspect they just dont want to be labelled as whingers etc and so dont say anything. I personally think there are a large number of players who think that , for eg shockwave removal from HE rounds was a very bad move (my pet hate) but have seen the "flaming" players receive for thinking that way and so say nothing. I would like to see a poll or petition on this but at present, unfortunately, I would see this as falling on deaf ears.

A mod for the German/Russian to English (with ubiquitous dodgey accent) would be a great idea. I did love how the CC series had a toggle for this.

Heres hoping CMII has a few toggles (speech, shockwaves, etc), where's that deaf ear?

  2. Im with Tom on this one. I dont have much interest in the Eastern Front but have pre-ordered it to support the company that will revisit the Western Front in years to come.

I think CMBB will be fun but I have to admit I will miss things from CMBO and those will make me return to it after a period (commonwealth forces, shockwaves etc). I doubt I will still be playing CMBB after 2 years unlike CMBO which I will be for many more years to come. (at least until the western front is redone)

  3. I know Steve et al have said there will be no patch to bring CMBO to CMBB level of play.

However, Steve, have you considered an upgrade for CMBO that will give it the same commands, graphics (except of course leaving in shockwaves) but at a price to the CMBO owner? Say $15 (requiring original cd, upgrade not being a standalone). Im sure there wouldnt be a single one of us 10,000 members who would not pay it (so long as shockwaves stay in)

  4. I dont know about Photopaint, but most programmes (eg Paintshop) have the basic features that photoshop has. Layers are probably the most important feature as they make modding soooo much simpler. Learn the icons and shortcuts of your programme and apply the techniques he shows. You will be right. The hard part of modding is understanding your software fully to achieve the desired result.

  5. G'day all

I have done another map for use in custom battles. As with my other maps I havent made them into scenarios as I dont play scenarios but prefer to play custom setup battles (ie edit in your own unit selections via a third party)

    Grab map here

This is a large map 1600x1600, each side has 2 entry points.

  6. I feel a similar way, I put it down to scenarios being one sided (nothing against CMBB as I hate playing scenrios in CMBO as well) and the lack of Commonwealth troops. I also expect CMBB will grow on me once I play some custom battles with full access to some very interesting armour.

I will still miss the shockwave :D (sorry cant control myself)

I must have missed this! Can you order a unit to follow another around the board?
