Treeburst155: The infantry restrictions were: MAX 2 Kompanies of VG's (if allowed by date)
Also:
NO mix and match of Allied units will be allowed...just like in the first AKOTM
Towed guns are not restricted at all. Feel free to purchase 35 of them.

once again thank you for bringing up these subjects now, as they will serve as a refresher course.
Ok here are the rules and interpetations:
No Arty over 150/155mm allowed.
No Arty with variable timed fuses allowed. (To make it fair for the Axis)
You can have EITHER:
1 150/155mm Spotter + 81/75mm Spotters
OR
2 120/105mm Spotters + 81/75mm Spotters
Rockets, because of the inherent inaccuracy, will be allowed up to the 210mm range.
And that means
1 210mm and below rocket FO + 81/75mm Spotters. (One of you got away with some extra rockets last turn and that was my fault.)
It is my opinion that 81/75mm arty doesn't cause the massive casualties/routs/broken's that the larger arty can cause, therefore I did not place a restriction on them. But I can easily imagine someone spending 5-8 hundred points on them and blowing up one side of the map!
So once again I leave it up to the few to decide this: Should 81/75 FO's be restricted? And if so, how much?

all these battles are set as meeting engagements, and if I remember correctly, either side can purchase TRP's and the like.
You do bring up a good point though about Pillboxes. Since only the Axis can purchase them, NO Pillboxes of any kind will be allowed in the tournament.
Repeat: NO Pillboxes of Any kind allowed in the tournament.
Harpooner and anyone else that will not be able to start on the Second Round right away...no worries, as the tentative Due Date for the Second Round is June 17th. So as long as you can get the battles done by that date, no problem.

ATTENTION:
I have notified The Pantages, Caesar's Palace, and the MGM in Las Vegas about the recent crushing defeat of Texas Toast by Claymore in the Rock, Paper, Scissors PBEM match!
It was a 3-0 Victory that had Claymore's triple Paper attack easily smothering Texas Toast's hapless triple Rock defense.
Before this event, the Vegas odds were set at 5:3 in favor of Texas Toast, but now are at an even 1:1 and some are calling for 2:1 in favor of the underdog Claymore.

I would think you would leap at the chance to crush your would-be only competition, and rid yourself of his carcass as you push on towards The Goal. Verily, you are a strong commander, for what leader could stomach loss of so many good men to the steel of Duke's Heer juggernaught without being strong? Perseverance, my friend, comes to those who want it more.

A large, double-edged broadsword formerly used by Scottish Highlanders.
Interesting fight here. Claymore was in a unique position, as he did not fight in the first AKoTM so he did not warrant a top 6 seed. In fact, he was seeded 8th, just behind Treeburst155 whom I had already fought a battle against and had a decent appraisal of his skill. Claymore was riding solely on his reputation, which I had heard was good. Therefore, the #7 seed was to be pitted against the #1 seed and the #8 seed against the #2 seed.
Now that Blood-stained Harpooner has dispatched the #1 seed, Claymore stands in an enviable spot...just one battle away from possibly dispatching the #2 seed and then having to face either the 16,17, or 22nd seeds for the 3rd Round! Nice...that's not to say that those guys are pushovers, but hey, I'm a gambling man and the numbers tell a tale of their own.
HOWEVER...seeing as how there have already been upsets in this tourney...it's really all up for grabs.Anyhoo...
This is how we will decide on the sides: I hereby invoke the patented Rock, Paper, and Scissors PBEM match!

Claymore...congratulations on your decisive victory. Welcome to the Second Round. BTW: Whatever happened with your battle against Fionn? It's funny, just at the same time that you had your first "Armor-heavy" battle against him, I had an "Armor-heavy" battle against him...then, you started up the next one that your AAR's where being posted, and at the same time I had started up another one very similar to yours. What was your final tally against Old Scratch?

ATTENTION: All battles still incomplete.
On 3JUN we will of had 3 weeks to complete the first round...a 20 turn battle.
I do believe that is more than enough time even with the American Holiday. So...Anyone not done by 3JUN01 WILL recieve a 200 point penalty that will be applied to their next rounds' battle PER DAY past the DUE DATE.
If you have any concerns, bitches, gripes, complaints, please bring them up now as I will be unforgiving come Sunday.
