[New Mac]

Has anyone gotton CM to work on a new G4 Mac running OS 9.04? I have a brandnew G4 400 and have this bizzare text box defect described in an earlier post.

I find it strange that CM won't run on a new out of the box Mac.

PS this is my work machine. At home it runs fine on my Beige G3 with an ATI Orion card.

you cannot install the ATI Universal Driver on a machine that has the chipset in the mother board. I have the exact same problem with my brand new G4. The problem seems mostly limited to the text boxes. I tried shutting off extensions, but still no go.

[Mac minimum platform]

I'm running it on a beige G3 233 with an Orion RAGE (16MB) graphics card. The $105 (with rebate) investment in the graphics card really makes the game look increadible. The game plays great at 1072x768 res.

The newer Macs have this technology already built in.

In reading Doubler's "Closing with the Enemy" it seems that it was common for many different company personel to be familiar with fire control technique in case the FO got hit. In CM once the FO is killed no more artillery. It seems to me that a platoon leader or other officer should be able to substitute in case the FO is killed.

BTW, this is my first post and the game is by far the best computer war game I have ever played.
