  1. The basic system sounds good, I've been running the GeForce w/32meg and it runs CM just fine and it saves you some money now. I've have the v.card for 3 weeks and so far no complaints at all. I only have a P3 600 with a CDRom Writer and DVD rom x4 w/128 megs of ram. This system is about 14 months old and it has not failed me yet for any game I've wanted to play. Get the DVD if you want to watch movies and if you don't it can wait a while if your handy at putting these things in by yourself. The ram can wait, but you gamble with the price of ram all the time when will it go up and when will it go down. Have fun with CM and don't forget you can always upgrade.
  2. I have seen in several scenarios the Germans do that exact thing and very effectively in all the cases. I really enjoyed being suprised by the Germans in there half tracks and supporting tanks in one particular scenario. The battle that followed without giving anything away because of the section we are in was simply tension filled right down to the last bazooka and soldiers. This is one of the few computer war games that really gives that tension that I have felt for the last couple of years playing ASL, I don't know if it's better, but it sure is great. Have a good one.
  3. Smoker I am having the exact same problem with my Voodoo 3 3000 card. As you play the game whites all out and becomes unplayable but I can save it. Smoker you describe it exactly like it happens on my computer. I have to stop the game completely and restart the saved game after the restart unlike your expeirence. Charles I have a Voodoo 3 3000 video card, 128 megs of sdram, 48X Cdrom, P3 600Mhz, most up to date 3dfx drivers. I have DirectX 7.0a on my machine. I have updated Combat Mission to version 1.03
  4. I just got back into the model hobbly the last couple of years. I like doing almost any scale model armour, planes, ships in that order that have to do with mainly WW2. I have some 1/35 WW1 tanks to build, they look to be a different challengne. I like armour the best, I am currently building a Panzer IV/70 (A) 'ZWISCHEN LOSUNG Sd Kfz 162/1. My next project is a US Tank Destroyer M36 Jackson and the Battleship Arizona. I belong to my local model club which is a member of the IPMS. I am a regular board wargamer every Thursday night, six of us get together and play various wargames, we are currently playing ASL's Red Barricades.
