Glad someone else came up with the question.
That poster up left is very much branded as a Vichy French thingie and at that time Marchal Petain was not exactly seen as a saint.
I love that splash screen but it does look strangely out of place all in all...

Well, you know the lyrics.
The snooker like carpet up the horizon is in fact the stock grass in LoRes.
Seeing as I am at the office for the moment I can't check but it's somethink like 1503 or some such.
So best thing to do is to download the LoRes version of your favorite HiRes grass and rename some BMP to 1503.
Take care to choose the one that as an average look elevation wise so that it won't clash with too low or too high surrounding tiles.

Old Dog's subdued MOD of the original Velvet Grass by Richard Tremblett (WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU BTW?!) is the best by far when it comes to have both visibility AND realism.
It comes handy also when installing MODs.
Put Old Dog then ALL of DD minus the grass and you're set.

I did a LoRes of my Wasp/UC with ALL the markings from that Canadian lunatic...
MODs sent his way.
At least people wouldn't have to trade looks for historicity or system performance.
Thanks again Max for giving us some indications as to what is needed here and there...

Rex, M5 were done by Magua also if I believe the test I just did comparing M3s to M5s.
If you don't find them, I'll zip those for you.
Michael I've been to your site and I am quite pleased with the wealth of info and charts there is for the MOD Sluts.
If you agree, I'll take your markings and do optional files for my UC MOD so that you could host them at your site.
Every MODing initiative is to be commended.
And I am sure happy someone did the research so that simple guys like me could de smooth looking MODs.

MODers are doing this for free and they are NOT exactly numerous.
I would take it as a sign of good will from you to stop sniping at every other MODers...
In a strict Applicationist stand point, the more MODers you are to alienate, the less MODs you'll have to Hue & Saturate with.

Did I used it? No.
