1. Just received it in Waterloo, Ontario. No tax applied on my shipment either. I've installed it and played the tutorial and all I can say is fantastic!!! Well, back to the game Doug
2. I wouldn't call it venting. Just a reasonable, polite request of BTS for any information they might have as to so many Canadian's haven't received their copies yet. Yes, it is probable that the delay is occuring at Canadian customs. And BTS certainly cannot be held responsible for this. But it's also possible that there might have been other problems with some of the delayed shipments (one post-not canadian- mentioned that a copy hadn't been shipped yet due to an error by the fulfillment company). We are probably a little to anxious. But then again, with all the posts about how great the game is, you can't really blame us can you? And, when the taxes and exchange rate are figured in, we Canadians will end up paying close to $100 Canadian for this great game. So I think we've earned the right to ask a polite question or two about when we might receive our copy of the game. respectfully Doug Brunton
3. Nothing here today in Waterloo, Ontario. Has anyone dropped BTS a line to see if the Canadian orders got sent late or if they know of any other screw ups that might account for the delay? I only ordered at the end of May this year but others here in the Great White North ordered alot earlier and don't have it either. Doug (doubting whether it will arrive in time for the long weekend).
4.
quote:
Originally posted by Toad: I don't think the delay is being caused by Canada Post. What we're experiencing is the delay of getting packages across the border.

The packages are probably under a large stack of porno magazines and films currently being closely inspected by customs officers... 5. Well, postman arrived and left again without delivering the expected package. BTW, I believe that the postman will actually bring the package to the door. If nobody is in to receive it, or if you cannot pay for the gst/pst and handling charge, then a card is left directing you to the nearest post office where the package can be picked up.
6. Just watched the postman deliver the mail- no CM. Some of the pre-orders weren't sent out until the 22nd (I believe) so that might be part of the problem. I wonder how long, on average, that it takes for packages to clear customs. I ordered a Smolensk and Normandy from HPS and it took about 1 week from shipping to delivery. I couldn't tell how much of that time was in customs waiting to be processed. I really hope it arrives before the long holiday weekend... Doug
7. Guelph? I'm from Kitchener-Waterloo. Small world!
