I've done a search and haven't found anything on this yet. Just bought a G4 powerbook with an ATI Radeon 9000. I can't get either CMBB or CMBO to run under OS9, even when I start up the computer under OS9. I looked at ATI's site but apparently I have the latest drivers and it wasn't clear to me that the card would work with anything else. Anybody know if there are any plans for updates for CMBB and/or CMBO to run under OSX? I don't know how to resolve this issue otherwise. Thanks in advance.

Great thinking, Jackson! Your idea makes a lot more sense than how these units are modelled at present, at least to an amateur like myself (Grognards?). Croda's suggestion about modifiers makes a lot of sense as well.

BTW, I have yet to be assimilated. Guess I just haven't posted enough.

First heard about it on Inside Mac Games online. I'm a hard-core flight sim fanatic and was doing my usual perusal, but made the mistake of downloading the Beta. Two weeks later the Gold demo came out and I haven't looked back. I haven't touched my joystick, throttle, pedals, or wife since. Come to think of it... Honey? Are you there? Honey?.......

Sorry about your illness. Even more sorry that we're missing out on updates because of it! (That's just good-natured ribbing, but I categorically refuse to use those damned smileys.) BTW, it's spelled "hiatal," and a good surgeon can make it all better for you if you meet the right criteria. The Zantac is good for symptoms, though. Get better SOON. Looking forward to the next update.

YES!!!!! It's here, and my wife assures me that I am far worse than a kid at Christmas. I'd love to say more, but I'll be playing far too much of this game...

Got them too. I'm running OS 9. Could my download have been corrupted?

Let me specify: The program launches and I can pick the scenario. I get the screen that says "3D graphics loading" and when the game actually starts, all I see is a black screen. I can hear sounds but nothing is visible. Also, my card has 6 MB of VRAM.

I can't get the Gold demo to run on my current system: G4 400/200, 224 MB Voodoo 3/3000 with latest Mac drivers (the G4 is an upgrade card in my beige G3 desktop) Any suggestions? And I WILL buy a new system if necessary; this is a GREAT game!
