  1. Aargh - This starting to look like the compsysibmpcgamesflightsim back in the good 1998 old days! I've already read some quite interesting mails at this board lately. What is different from this board and the good old compsysibmpcgamesflightsim back in the good 1998 old days, is that obviously this board members stays united. I don't blame any of you and our best interest is that none of us pull the plug. Who ever have the interest of forcing somebodyelse out of this board are here to dig their own grave.

That said, stay united and stop the fuss because it can be heard all the way to Moskva.

  2. The lack of replies to your post draw my interest. I can tell that you had been here awhile without contributing to the overload of this boards mailbox - that something smile.gif I do not think its polite for this board to let a request like this be over heard. But however it seem like they all are pretty much engaged with getting each other assimilated at the moment. I am pretty much engaged in a handfull of pbems right now but if you are still interested you may through me your setup.

  3. Great book from start to the end. I had also read 'The Ten Thousand' and is currently trying to figure out how to create a scenario based on the book for SB. I must try to dig this book up again - misplaced it some where between places. Thanks for letting me remember smile.gif

  4. I play perferable the German force because I know their units better than I know the units form the others forces. This habit of mine can I trace back to the good old days of Steel Panthers. Now back to your question. I perfer numbers against quality or the best combination. Therefore I settle with the Panthers as the MBT combined with a handfull of Pumas to support the infantery. I had bad pbem experince with using points on mech like the 251(250)-1/2/9. They are not worth their credit. Keep some or alot of point handy for arty spotters they can make the day. Focus on combined arms with the force of Infantery. Many maps limit the full use of direct fire from armory so the value of Infantery should not be misjudged. Combine your infantery units with mortar units and hwy MGs for supression purpose.

Using points on aircrafts is fun and they can take out more than one enemy unit in a game but they never took out more points than they cost in those pbem that I had played so far.

    Best luck with your pbems

  5. We are testing a new PBEM 'Ladder' consept called DPEMP.

You can find the DPEMP at DCMF http://hjem.get2net.dk/CutAway/

We are in desperate need of some volunteers.

The concept of the 'Ladder' is based on the Yahoo Meeting session system.

If you are interested in trying it out please follow the url above and make an appointment with someone at the meeting.

You get access to the DPEMP by selecting 'PBEM rendevouz' from the main screen.

I'am online using ICQ - 20447711 in case of any problems.

    Thanks for your time

  6. You got an interesting question here Von Fauster. Personally I think that it is because the Allies knew that the Germans didn't had much armor left after '44. Yes the Americans may had plenty but they still had to get it across the sea. This may be on the account of less infantery shipped. Who ever had the authority of selecting the equitment to ship may had basic knowledge of the strenght of the German armor present at time. Taken into the consideration, the type of forces the opponent got, the Allies may had focused on mechanized infantery supported with a limited armor support. I think that the end of WWII also ended that big clash between armor and envolved the use of combined forces like we know of to day. Maybe the Germans invented the use of combined forces early in their blitz' but that may had more to do with getting the ability of securing taken ground. Early in WWII - I do not think that the light antitank weapons was in common use and thereby the reason of using combined forces to the extend they where used in the late War was not that nessesary. The ground in northen europe is easy ground for armor vehicles, even taking the bocage into the consideration.

  7. The way to start a War is easy - just be bored! It's beats the hell out of me though, how anyone can be that bored these days!

I think that people get bored when they are up to their neck into something they can't comprehend.

  8. Hi Count Sessine

Oh - now I recall. You were the one that had promised to post a review of CM at the danish newspaper called 'Politiken'! Glad, your article make it through the press smile.gif I can't wait to read all about it at my parents place smile.gif How do I enroll as subscriber to this newspaper? Do you know the nice girl call Lisbeth from the famours RAM-SOFT shop. Give her my regards. She knows me better as 'the one with the scar in is head'. She and I, had done some fishing together, long time ago smile.gif

    Yours Sincerely

  9. Hi Count Sessine

It still isn't and wasn't my intention trying to compete with greate fan sites like the CombatHQ. That's way out of my league. My intention was originally to try capture a little of the focus games like DiabloII amoung others got on the danish NG's. I think that CM deserve that. In Denmark, purchasing games using the Internet is not a common business. In general, I think that we got a big problem here in Denmark, dealing with e-business. Many companies got their own website up running but they are only publishing what you also could find in the books. Nothing of interest for the purchasers. I do not think that CM sell's big time in Scandinavia. But I know that there are a lot of people interested in games like CM here but if they don't see it in their stores they do not think it exists. CM could sell big time here if people had any knowledge of it's existence. DCMF was meant to change that but it did'nt. Now I just don't want it to vanish and therefore I keep updating this site. If you are interested in uploading some information on it, I'am willing to translate that to english and thereby creating an english mirror of it.

Thanks to your all for your kind replies.
