  1. Thanx for the info. I will give "sneak" a try. I just hope the germans will be as accomodating as in the previous scenario. Tell me, is "sneak" the command of choice for the situation i described or is it a coin-toss with crawl?
  2. Greetings, I hope someone can answer this one for me. Let me start by explaining the situation. I am playing the U.S. in LD and i have a bazooka team hiding in the first objective house on the U.S. right at the end of the angled track. A german HT rolls up to within 20 or 30 meters without discovering the team inside the house. I check the LOS of the team to the HT and i find that it is blocked (I problably deployed the team in the rear of the bldg). I then give the team a crawl command to the front of the bldg to blow away the HT in the next turn. As soon as the team begins moving they are discovered and blown away. My question is why was the team discovered so easily? Shouldn't a unit crawling inside a bldg retain its advantage of concealment?
  3. I am sure someone other than myself has noticed this but i searched and came up blank so here goes. Lately i have adopted a "hide and wait" strategy when i play the americans on LD. It seems to work better than pinging away at the Tiger from long range while he answers with an 88mm "how do you do?" The problem i noticed is that when the action phase begins the axis armor (which is almost always concentrated on the ridge at the end of the paved road) begins a series of confusing manuevers that wastes 5 or 6 turns before they sort themselves out. I have seen them back-up and crash into each other, sit and spin, advance a short distance then back-up or just sit in plain sight. Mind you this is going on without a shot being fired. By turn 7 they seem to sort themselves and proceed down the road in some fashion but that usually means that when my cats arrive the germans are still filtering thru the bottlneck and a long way from any kind of cover. The infantry do not exhibit this kind of behavior and seem to operate normally. Is this a bug that has been exterminated or is there a reason for the armoured slam dance? I'd loved to hear from y'all.
  4. Greetings! first time writer, long time reader, big time fan of CM. I stumbled across the demo while i was browsing thru PC gameworld.com and thought i'd give it a shot. The download was lenghty but otherwise uneventful and the demo fired up without a problem. Since then i have played the 2 scenarios countless times. My problem is that i can't download the third scenario (Chance encounter) from the BTS site. When i try from my home PC i get an error message stating that the file cannot be opened. Then i tried from my work PC and i get another error message only this one says that the web page can not be found. I then tried to download another demo offered by BTS (Tac-ops) and i get the same results. Has anyone had this problem and if so can you offer me some advice?
