Not me! I'll stick it out until the last ammo belt and tank round are gone. If I have troops in the field with still some fighting spirit remaining I'll finish the fight one way or another.

I agree wholeheartly. My Dad and his three brothers were WW II veterans and all miracleously survived the war. I would like to think that I have always felt closer to their generation than to my own. Of the four brothers, my Dad is the last one living and I really miss my uncles.

Does anyone have a web site for a voodoo 2 driver upgrade other than the one dated 1-27-99?

What about voodoo 2 for smoke? I have problems at high resolution.

The Gold demo runs great with my voodoo 2 video card w/ accelerator. When I take out a tank I get flames but no smoke. Is this again a driver/video card problem?

I want to thank all who have helped this computer idiot in trying to get CM to work. Well, I finally got to run CM. I works beautifully. Tiu guys did a excellant job at Battlefront. You certainly put a lot of thought in it. Thanks again.

Thanks guys for the help. One more stupid question. Where is the CM prefs. file? It's not an obvious part of the CM folder. I have the WAV and the BIT files as well as the CM start icon, but that it.

My system is as follows: -Gateway Intel 400MHz Pentium II w/ Intergated sound Bezel Label -64MB Memory Module -DVD IDE ROM Drive -14GB Hard Drive - 16MB AGP Graphics Accelerator -Airduct Hardware -12MB Voodoo II 3-D Accelerator -Microsoft Intellimouse When I double-click on the CM tank icon the CM window is minimized and that is it. The computer freezes. I have to C-A-D to unlock the system. I have also minimized what is running either than explorer and systray. I can easily run Panzer Eliye and Hidden & Dangerous on my system with no problems. Thanks.

Thanks Richard and Compassion for the info. This is hopeless. I think I have updated my driver and I know I have directX7a. I have a 12MB Voodoo II 3-D accelerator with a 16MB AGP Graphics accelerator. I'm not a computer expert so I affraid to try something drastic to my computer to get CM to run. If CM is this much of a problem I think I'll forget it.

Does anyone have a good site(s) to get the most updated video card drivers? Specifically for voodoo cards.

Thanks Charles for your effort. I've tried to do some of those suggestions but to no avail. I don't understand why CM doesn't run when I didn't have any problems loading either Panzer Elite nor Hidden & Dangerous. I have a 3Dfx Voodoo Banshee AGP card with the most recent drive (at least the most recent one I can find).

I've loaded the Gold Demo with no problem, but when I double-click on the CM demo icon to run the software my computer freezes. I have a 400 MHz with a 3fx video card and directx 7. I have also read the troubleshooting section of the demo. Please help!

I have a gateway 400MHz with a 3dfx video card. I'm having trouble running the game after I get the screen showing the various buttons to select from (i.e. play demo, options, e-mail, and quit). I just get a blank screen. Any advice?
