  1. WHat about a 19inch TFT ? biggrin.gif

Wolfe the Sony G400 FD trinitron, is the latest model , very flat, like my E200 FD, its actually way sharper than the 400ps and 500ps smile.gif It has a .24-.25 AG dot picth - your one does, .25-.27

The Tnt card I have wis more than sufficent for CM, just need more memory that's all 32 meg TNTultra would be ideal and a lot cheaper than a Matrox G400, with much better drivers, and faster speed too.

  2. This question has been sitting at the back of my head for a couple of months....so I decided to finally ask it tongue.gif

In a Operation, you mention the map is dynamicly updated. Does this mean - lets say I've started the 1st phase/push/battle of the operation. I see a certain size map (defined by Scenario designer?)....after turn 1 my leading elements advance 100m up the map. Does the map then, as of next turn, move up 100m in the larger overall map? So if I were to fall back by 100m, then on the next turn the map is scrolled back 100 m?

Can I go sideways ...so the map is updated laterally?

Damn this game has got me in quivers ...the depth is amazing

  3. The Geforce 2d image is different to a TNT2, its a bit darker, and the lines seem thicker. But the colours are richer and saturated. Don't by a v3000 and any 3dfx card! Your paying all this money for inferior texture quality. 3dfx drivers are sneaky, they reduce the texture sizes on the fly to improve frame rate at the expense of 3d image quality.

to use 1600x1200 you'll 32 megs and a 19 inch moniotr minimum, and if its a crap 19 inch it'll still be blutty, get a 21 inch for 1600x1200, hope your pc is fast though smile.gif

But at this res on my tnt2 and SOny FD Trinitron e200 17 inch monitor it looks good with anti-aliasing. Getting a 19inch Sony G400 soon, so I can play larger res, since 1024x768 is the most I go up to with this monitor.

  4. Yeah but the Beta demo is definitely 16 bit, I can notice colur banding in the sky and in the smoke.

Belive me, none of 3dfx stuff looks as good as the Nvidia TNT2 and GEforce SDR/DDR. The 3dfx stuff, cut corners on textures and colur to get max frame rate. Ok if your into first person shootem ups etc, but in CM you want maximum eye candy smile.gif A TNT Ultra, Geforce SDR or DDR, and G400 Max are much better. For 32 bit gaming at 1024x768 + res I recommend a Geforce DDR - this card screams! But 32 meg is quite enough for 1600x1200@32 bit without some downsampling of textures. You can see this effect in some screen shots on TGN CM HQ, where the person's video card didn't have enough video memory. I feel sorry for that person biggrin.gif He doesn't know what he is missing wink.gif

Wolfe make sure your Cpu is up to scratch too, a Geforce doesn't like old motherboards. It need a strong AGP power MB.

  5. Cool

I'll go and re-tweak the german grey uniform to a greener colour.

I'll let everyone know hwne I get this done, I might even mod the camo version too. There is one type I noticed in Saving Private Ryan, quite drab looking.

But I really like my tweaked US uniform biggrin.gif
