  1. Yep! which makes you wonder a bit about it..My guess is an older, underarmored '72 (heh..not to say the '72 isn't old in the first place)Definately not a newer, Kt5 varitey..Not that it'd matter too much as the javelin's a top-attacker..Our dragon ATGM's sucked so bad it's fitting our infantry gets an uber-weapon now smile.gif

The really, really amazing thing is that, not only is it fire and forget, but..notice how little backblast it gave off..And, being a top-attacker..You won't be able to tell where the shot came from..protects the firer extremely well.

  2. Can't say I'm surprised. But it is being shipped as promised so you really can't complain, although I'm sure someone will find a way.
I've got something to complain about! Our German friends! what's wrong with them..they're being all nice, and acting like they're happy to have it...I haven't seen one taunt yet! Or, maybe 'Woah..look at this tank!' with a screenshot of a blacked-out vehicle..Or, even cheap spoilers! They need to get with the program! ;)

They probably loaded that T-72 with C4, but..An amazing KO from an amazing weapon system..look for the turret on top of the explosion, you'll see it

  4. In addition - the Flak18/36's in particular - were used in the anti-tank role quite commonly, while still mounted ontop their wheel limbers. What I'm saying is, that the gun [in the game] should be capeable of firing while both fully deployed, and whilst still sitting on top the wheel limbers.
That's a pretty old chestnut to crack on, round there heeer parts.

I'd really like to have the wheel mounted-tow capable model.

  5. I think you're gonna lose. I don't have much respect for the German junkyard crap but the T-34/85 isn't going to match up well one for one. Inferior gun, inferior armor. Tactically, that is enough to call it
You forgot speed and relative target size..Now where's that fast to hull down command :)At the range of a typical CMBO battle, they'd be about even, I think-and I'm sure I'll know in about a minute if I'm wrong, but..If BB can whip up some nice 'ol 3000m tank fights, I'd have to bet on the Panther, too.
  6. I'd say the T-34 got better treatment, but, a better tank is a matter of conjecture. The Russians listened to their armor cheifs, and got the nessecary modifications made. The Yanks and Brits, by and large, did not..claiming tactics and training were faulty.

I'd still rather have the T-34, even the crappy M40..Knowing that if you're going to burn if hit would undoubtedly change your tactics in battle ;)

  7. a maximum of what many wargames "suffer" from, both scenarios require the mother of all attention spans, at least from the attacker. Both attacks can be very frustating, they require close looking, a lot of learning. Both require operational thinking much more than short-term tactical reactions. They are highly rewarding when things actually work out. But to reach this point you have to invest a lot of patience, patience that many people do not have.
This is what makes us wargamers! we love boring stuff! Hooah!

I don't see that it's all that different than CMBO. I read someone's post that said to think of quality levels in BB as one grade lower than the corresponding level in CMBO, and I believe he hit the nail on the head! CMBO handles the same with lower quality troops, negating new weapon effects. Dosen't bother me much, because I always played with low-quality troops..The high quality ones were too Rambo for my liking.

One thing I think the demo did very well was not giving too much away. I can't wait to see T-34/85's and Panther G's go at it-but, I think it wold have taken alot of the fun out of the game to have a yawny tank fest scenario. The demo really made me want to see more of the game, i.e: buy it. heh..I already don't want to see another T-34 M40! LOL..those tincans.
