Another thing you can do is implement Fionn's rules.
But you can make your own rules.
For instance you can agree with a certain amount of points spend on a certain unit.
And what is more important try to think what your opponent would buy and try to create a balanced force that can coop with multiple threats.
The most simple solution is ,get a new opponent.

And yes it is my opinion a mg team can run.
I know I have been a MAG gunner.
The damn thing weighs 14 kilo and I have run with it,you have to rest though after 200/300 meters
But the overal answer remained the same,bts said they wouldn't change it.

Especially at the lower officerranks.

It sounds utterly boring but there was a post from one of the members here that explains how to use mortars ,it was very thorough and well written.
Just do a search and you will find it.

In the Dutch army I have digged two types.
The large one as described as the U form with frame,sump and sandbags(about 200 small ones)
these were camouflaged in the country and you could not spot them from 50 meters away(earth that was left was thrown away a few meters from the hole,and if possible camouflaged as well.This took me and my buddy nearly 12 hours.And believe me there were guys very handy in camouflaging .The British troops were masters in it,once on a nato exercise we had to attack a british position and when we were about 100 meters away from there suspected position we saw the silhouets from some vehicles in the tree line
turned out to be Chieftain tanks and with them was a referee who said that we were all killed.After that their supporting infantry showed up some of them were right in front of us (Hidden in normal grasslands)
What we called a foxhole was nothing more than a small undeep digged out hole in front of your tent(about 40 cm deep where you could
lay down during an attack and keep your head down)not very protective though and sure not to grenades or shells.

A pak40 is 75 mm and the pak 38 was 50 mm.
I missed the opportunaty to visit Bovington last year when I visited a friend in London.I sure would go with you guys but I cannot make it this year
Maybe next year.
On discovery channel there was an item about that Tiger project,I thought it was in a program called Steel tigers.
They have a serie programmes about tanks and shot a lot of footage in Bovington.

I did some digging and found this.
The gun was the Pak 41.
And according to the writer it was a better gun than the pak40.
Here is the story.
Pak 41 a squeeze-bore gun of unusual configuration in that the barrel was not tapered throughout its length but was parallel for the first 2.95 m ,then tapered at one in twenty for 25cm,one in twelve for 18cm,then became parallel again for the final 61 cm.
This design compressed the 7,5cm tungsten-core Pzgr41 round into a 5,5cm ,imparting very high muzzle velocity and a smaller-hence kinetically more effective- impact area.
The barrel was constructed in two halves so that the squeeze part could be unscrewed and replaced when worn.After about 500 shots.
Unfortunately as we have seen earlier tungsten was in short supply during 1941 and virtually run out in the following year so only 150 were built.
Had it remained in production it would undoubtedly have supplanted the Pak 40 since it was capable of defeating the armour of any tank.
Weight -1.356kg
weight round-2.59 kg with a velocity of 1.127 m/sec.
penetration-102/124mm at 2000meters against vertical and 30 armour
145/177 at 1000meters
171/209 at 500 meters
Max range was 4000meters but this wasn't relevant sinc there was no HE round available.
Most guns wer used by the paratroops while some found their way to the gebirgsjaegers.
This answers most questions I think.
So not to be included in the game.
(shame though)

A box from our cable internetcompany was destroyed due to a caraccident.
Everything was broke down.

Due to a traffic accident one of my internetcompanies cablelines was cut down.
I havent been able to send email nor receive email.
Rightnow the lines are functioning again but receiving of email has a huge delay.This afternoon my email from last night 22.00 is coming in.
So I think I missed the end of startex.
Is it possible for you to put a brief report on this page.

I played it several times first as the allies,than it isn't a problem if you play as the Germans.
Most British tanks had no ammo or only HE ammo left.(or it must have been an unknown ammobug)
So I knew exactly what tanks I had to kill first.

The name of the Dutch resistance captain was Bestebreurtje(means something like ,best brother in English)
The Belgium and Dutch volunteers were the 23rd SS division Nederland and the 28th division Wallonien.Both were panzergrenadierdivisions.

Good idea,the SS for instance and some divisions from the regular army had batalions and in some cases regiments with volunteers from many European countries.

The answer to your question is ..smoke.
Split your force in three units and advance towards the enemy.
Than lay a smokescreen in front of your troops and use the SOP menu.
I like to use the retreat after firing order and the pop smoke if fired on order.
when you retreat move the smokescreen to(mortarcarrier)make sure that if a unit moves another unit can provide coverfire.
That should do it.
