  1. Since MAGNUS posted the complete background of CYBERSTRATEGE I won't duplicate is exelent work. I just wanted to poste all the information I have about this great magazine as I didn't wanted to be submerged by e-mail about it. But as I read somewhere in this forum wives do need a wise handling ....
  2. Here in France we have quite a good bimonthly magazine wich cover only wargames and related games. In their last 2 issues there was some very good prewiew about CM, in the last one december/january there was an laudatory article about de demo.
  3. As you already have a french tank coded, can i hope for an extension that will cover the 39-40 period. I 'd like to command some of this early tanks, especialy the french one - the great B1, B1 bis ...
  4. Steve, in my last post i just wanted to point that a game couldn't recreate totaly, and i mean totaly in an absolut way, reality. But i must agree, as i do since i begun playing CM that 3D is absolutly necessairy to simulate as closely as possible reality. I just wanted to point that what i search in a game is enjoyement. After all i certainly bought enough games that were just piece of ****. I'm eager to play and enjoye myself with CM. P S when i talk about CM to my friends i certainly present all the avantages 3D gives to wargaiming
  5. Reality is 3 dimensional, but it isn't a game. However accurate it will be, it will only be a game. The real think about WW2 was people getting scared, hungry, killed...and I am quite sure that every war veterans prefer playing a good game than beeing out in the wild and risquing their life. Shouldn't we rather talk about enjoyement in playing than quibble about reality in a game. As far as I am concern I enjoy CM, but I must admit that I do enjoy some unrealistic games : Heroes of Might and Magic, Civilisation.... I hope I didn't hurt any feelings here Happy New Year 200
  6. About Nam, the real think that Nam proved was that war can only be won if the political power i.e you,we,us want to make that war, and if I rebember well (I'm french so the political history of the USA isn't that clear to me)Nixon was elected on the promise that he would end the war. The second point that was proved by Nam,by Algeria, Rohdesia etc... is that you can't win a colonial war - well, you can if you exterminate the natives of course or if you park them in reserve - even if you win military on the ground as the USA won in Nam or the french in Algeria. My wish for a CM3 would be Europe 39-40, then the french could win some engagement with their thanks B1, B1 bis ....after all we had the best tank in the world, but the worst high command leadership
  7. I'm just playing CE as the german vs the puter, I lost all the stugs. But I saw 2 really lucky shot : mine last stug vs a sherman where the sherman and the stug shoot at the same time both were killed. But one of mine shreck killed a sherman that was 212 m away (I had 3% chance of a hit) I just could kiss him (the team was reduced to a single man) -what a shot man-
  8. In fact you could also be a non communist resitance fighter - the FTP were the communiste - the FFI resistance were under the control of London. But in any case the Vichy traitors were the real bastards, after all they did send children to the gas chamber.
