If there is no way to make your own battles or random games then it is quite useless to me...

I don't think micromanagement is over powering in HOI.
I would say it is just right if they would implement better way to pick distibution of your resource points. The sliders are horific and you can never get the right value!

Gas was used by Germans in WWII against Soviet partizans.
There were partizans in catacombs on Crimea and gas was used against them.

This is common is some scenarios.
I made a scenario where Soviets have only Molotovs against tanks. I have seen lots of 70 meter toses over the Church...

I think HE is not powerfull enough in CM.
My gues is that 5 short should kill pretty much everyone.

We could organize world wide CM club. This would help us to organize meetings, find opponents and new friends close by.

I got about 5 coupons for Paintball.
I think coupons give you all of the basic equipment needed to play. They should take $20 dolars off anyway.

I think some of us hint at the real problem.
The tanks are not "real objects" in CM.
They don't have real physical sizes attached to them.
If they would then there would be no need to simulate "30% is turret".
If you shoot at the turret directly from head on then only maybe 50% of the turret area is at 0 degrees rest might be at 60 degrees.
I am not sure that this "physical size/shape" tanks can be done right now - it maybe too slow.
In the future I hope objects will be simulated exactly - with their correct shapes and angles. Every infantry man by himself too.
CM will advance in the future...

I remember Polish tankers destroying German house in "4 tankist and a dog". Drinking smashing plates, spearing the globe, rolling german LP records down the street etc...

Regarding "4 tankist and a dog" - yes Soviets are presented well in that movie.
And yes they took my grandmother watch but she was still really happy to see them.
They kept explaining that USA on the Jeep stands for "Ubijem Sukinsyna Adolfa"

"Hot snow" - AT guns are trying desperatly to hold off attempt to break siege at Stalingrad. (Lots of tiger looking tanks) 2 VCDs - 1.4Gig
I could try to make it smaller like 700MB DVX
"Star" - Soviets recon infiltrates behind enemy lines to find SS-Viking ready for counter attack
Not much fighting
"Stalingrad" - I think I can get this one too. Story of Stalingrad Siege from Summer 1942 to the end. Lots of small group action. AT Mines droped from buildings on German Tanks, etc...
"Crew of the tank and a dog" - Polish. First 4 episodes (out of 21?), might even have subtitles - I got to check.
Crew of T-34 fights its way to Berlin.

Most of them are 700MB or more. You can create lots of CMBB scenarios from them...

Sure but there was no 70F (+20C) degree day in January 1942 near Moscow. I randomly Generated QB in July 1942, Southern Soviet Union.
To my suprise I got myself into snow and blizard...
Another time QB generated battle where it was HOT in January 1941 in central region (no snow)
1) I think you should not be able to select HOT in nothern regions in January.
2) 90% of the time there should be snow in the January

Judging from comments about GI Combat demo, this competing game has almost no chance to compete with our belowed CM.
We did have some issues with the CMBB demo but everything worked pretty good. GIC seems to have major problems.
I want to congratulate CM team for waiting to release something that works not a patchable beta.
By the way warning to CM traitors: We know who you are!

I only care about WWII.
Pacific is boring to me because it would not contain enough tank battles. One jungle assault after another....
Early war might be interesting. But thats just Poland and France.
Africa is more mid-war.
I would love to see better graphics, real time option, no borgs.
East front has more variety so I prefer it.
What I really want is a GI Combat/CM mix on east front.

Seems like you buy big slow rate of fire guns.
If you buy 45mm At gun you will get couple of shots off
