Atilla was the model that renisance artists used for Satan.

But when he saw his mother --- Niagara Falls!
 2.
quote:
As for Hannibal, his feat of taking his army across the Alps in Winter, IIRC, has yet to be repeated, AFAIK. [/QB]

Marshal Suvarov did this in 1800, to withdraw his army from Italy into Austria after his defeat by the French under Massena at the second battle of Zurich.

Monty hurt his reputation by occasionally lying about things after the war (i.e., Caen)

AND by not cutting off von Zengen's Fifteenth Army in the Scheldt estuary, also helping to the supply problem by clearing the seat approach to Antwerp. ALSO by planning and ordering Market Garden. Eisenhower held responsibility for MG too, but he was trying to let the British have a little bit of the limelight.
 4. There were too many characters for me to keep them all straight. Which one was Sgt. Lipton? Actor Jack Warden was in the 101st. I wonder if the BoB producers tried to get in touch with him?
 5. I've been repeatedly hacked in the past few months. Based on your testimonial I downloaded that program. Don't know how I lived without it before. --------------------------------------- When I first installed ZA I found out I was getting 5-10 entry attempts per day. They stopped after a few weeks, as if my IP address got taken off a list.
 6. I downloaded the latest drivers (Cirrus doesn't support patches any longer, I had to pay $5 to DL the driver from ISDnet...) and got the demo. The terrain looked really crappy, objects were decently rendered in color (although now I wish I had splurged for 8mb vram) but the ground itself was white. I reset my color from 16-bit to 32- and 24-bit, but the demo hung up again, with just a black screen at 32-bit setting and the initial announcement" screen at 24-bit. The hourglass appeared and I could move it with my cursor, but I waited more than several minutes each time and nothing happened. I had to reset my machine both times. I'm bummed.
 7. I am also getting the black screen after the briefing. Unlike others, my cursor locks up as well and I have to reset, Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't work. I also am not getting any sound. PII 266 64 mb RAM Cirrus 548x video card (4 or 8 mb) SB 16 Memorex CD DirectX7 (if it installed correctly) Win95 4.00.950a Logitech mouse Northgate keyboard
 8. When I try to start a demo game I get a black screen after the second briefing screen, then my cursor locks up. This has happened with both scenarios. I tried to install DirectX7, but after my machine reboots during installation the install never resumes. I have a PII/266 with 64mb RAM and a Cirrus Logic 546X video card.
