  3. Ooops :eek: My bad... those are from the Mad Dog Mod Pack for CMBO... they must have slipped in so to speak... I should have mentioned it in the Readme but ive used those sounds pretty much since i started playing CMBO and didnt reflect on the fact that they might not be mine... There is no garand in there, but since i use sounds from alot of places its possible that the sund i use for the svt might have been used for the garand in some other mod by some other guy... as for the pings with the screams? i have no clue as to what youre talking about... but ill check it out... Thanx for the tip about BF1942 Mr.Noobie... just realized that even tho i dont play it and have sold the cd i still havnt uninstalled it so i could extract the russkie voices... that would be cool... *Edit* I just checked out the russkie voices in BF1942 and they didnt soud that impressive to me... but I will check out the russian voices in CMBB to see if there are any "out of place" voices that i think need replacing. Thats what i did with the german voices... *end edit* The addon will be uploaded sometime next week i think... have preciously little time this weekend... today im gonna have an "austin powers movie night" with my friends (watch all 3 movies in a row and get an austin powers overdose) and then im gonna camp outside the cinema to get some LOTR2 tickets... so there probarbly wont be any uploading done this weekend... :eek: [ November 16, 2002, 04:32 AM: Message edited by: Oddball_E8 ]

Please do tell me what you think of them... i wont really be bothered to change them since they were made for my own pleasure... but still... its nice to get some feedback... the only problem i have with the sounds are that they get cut off alot when there is heavy fighting... but that happened before the mod too (but not as much... probarbly because of the longer sounds)

Hmmm... advice taken... but i asked the master himself (scipio) and he said it still saved space if you zipped them as mp3s instead of waves... and as for converting its a jiffy with the DbPowerAMP... just extract all the mp3s to a folder and then just select all of them, right click and choose wav... Piece of cace :cool: oh well it makes no difference now since they are all uploaded... thanx for your great site btw... loving it! visit it about 5 times per day just to see whats new...

Well i freaked out and uploaded all ten zips of my soundmod... ill upload the addon sometime this week probarbly but its a non essential part of the mod and its also (for me) HUGE at 13.9 megs... so it will have to be done via my friends computer...   15. Ooops... forgot to mention this in the readme... you have to make sure that you convert the files into a wav format of PCM Freq. 44100 channels 1 bits 16 or else you might experience some wierd effects...
  16. I think I might be doing something like this... I will be uploading it day by day... since im on a 56k modem i wont be able to upload all of it in one go... i think i might be able to use my friends computer (he has broadband) but if i cant i will upload it on a daily basis... about 3 zips per day... (they are about 1-2 megs each)
  17. But its at a whopping 23,7 megs (and thats zipped mp3s mind you!) I will be uploading it to the mod database sometime this week... hope you all like it! Heres the Readme: All these sounds are in mp3 format because of their file size (219 Mb unzipped!!!) and to use them in CMBB you have to convert them into wav format again... for this i suggest you use a program like CDex wich you can find at http://www.cdex.n3.net I primarily made this mod for my own enjoyment but since I´m such a nice guy I thought I´d share it with the rest of you... I have also used (with his kind permission) some of scipios sounds... I´m not sure about all of them but I do know that all the cannon and explosion sounds are his. I´ve broken this mod into several smallar mods for all you (like me) poor bastards with 56k modems out there. The addon zip contains background sounds wich are quite large (14+ megs as zipped mp3s!) and i put these in a special zip for the above mentioned reason... The alternative00000411.wav is an alternative version of the sharpshooter sound. This one is just one shot as opposed to the one I use in my mod wich contains five shots representing the fact that the sharpshooter fires of a volley when he expends one "ammo". I´ve tried to make the sounds longer so that the battles will sound more intense and this means that some of the sounds (especially the smg sounds of weapons emptying their mags) will last longer than the firing animation and tracers in the game... but this is no real problem... I have also changed some of the german voice wavs to wavs from MOH:AA (my favourite fps... thanx EA!!)   19. im sad to say that since i was playing against the ai i dont have a saved video file... but i do have the auto save from that turn... doesnt help much i know... do you want the screenshot tho?

Well i wish they would trow those pesky armored cars around a little... instead of just tossing molotovs wildly in the air hitting nothing but asphalt! :mad: But still this is a freaky little bug... havent seen it more than this time... (btw the molotov is more visible in the original uncut bmp but its about 2.5 meg so i didnt want to upload it on the net with my 56k modem)

I was playing a QB as finns against soviets in a street battle... one of my tank hunter teams was targeting an armored car and threw a molotov... but they trew it a wee bit too far... they threw it 105 meters and they threw it about as high and over a couple of heavy buildings! check out the screenshot (i know the molotov isnt very visible so i circled it in white...) I have seen the ai area target once... a t-34 of mine was targeting an enemy squad in a foxhole an the squad hid (or took cover... whatever) and thereby dissapeared from my view... an for a second or two (and JUST a sec or two) the t-34 area targeted (with a visual area target firing line) the foxhole... but then the squad appeared again and the tank targeted it again... i checked it several times and the tank DID area target... dont have a schreen or save tho... wanted to get on with the fight wich was at a pivotal point... turn 28 of 30 with HEAVY combat taking place... but it did area target... so why cant it target a building then? :confused:
