Hi Teach, Been a while
I have a viper 770 card and ive experienced the same thing, but im just too lazy to do something about it. You can clearly see it when looking down a road. I guess its something that the viper card does to speed up the graphics...

What I want to know (and, yes i know this has been discussed before, but it should be mentioned again) i if and when the JagdPanzer IV will get a machinegun... It did infact have one so why is it not there?

Delete the file called "Combat Mission Bynd Ovr Prefs" and then start the game... you will now go through the same procedure as you did the first time you started the game... thats the only way im affraid...
and dont worry... it doesnt change anything else than the screen res settings.

Last night i was playing a qb as the german defenders... i had a Jpanther hidden behind a building looking down a road... The Jpanther was firing at a HT when all of a sudden a Sherman storms out infront of my Jpanther just as it fired at the HT...
teh shot went straight through the sherm and hit the HT... wouldnt that shot have f***ed up that sherm? or at least hit it... I know that tanks dont block LOS but this is ridiccolus... shooting through enemy tanks like they werent there?
not very realistic...dont get me wrong... this is THE coolest and most realistic game ever made... its just that ... well i guess ive been spoiled with realism in this game, so i get annoyed when things like this happen.
and, yes, i was using realistic scale... this sherm was about 3 m from my barrel and blocked the entire view... (not los)
something that can be changed in a patch?

Same thing happened to me yesterday... and you could clearly see that the mortar was aiming between my tank and the enemys tank, ie not thinking self preservation but preservation of his buddy in the tank (wich was blown up just before the smoke appeared, but thats beside the point)
gives you a warm fuzzy feeling doesnt it?

Wouldnt it be nice if you could make (very) short sprints, say about 20m, with these flamethrowers... as it is now they move REALLY slow... slower than normal infantry.
I mean, even if the tank on your back may be a bit heavy, you sure as hell dont mosy on over a street in a slow orderly maner when youre being shot at... now do you?
But seriously, IMO they are a bit too slow... they are slower than the american 50 cal HMG ant that is a heavy piece of machinery. shouldnt they at least be a little faster?

The blasts are not that big actually... more like the blast from a ap-shot from a 75mm cannon.

Dont get mad now but... they look a little to cammo-ish to me... my impression was that the allies only white washed there vehicles. never used camo...
just my thoughts... Very nice work tho

Ive noticed something funny about the "world at war" series tho...
almost all the infantry weapons (at least the automatics) sound the same... anyone else notice this or am i just stupid?
