And I have the 8800/dual core problem so like most of you looking forward to the 1.03. Would be cool if BF would share the info with 1C so ToW would run better too.

funkster, lets see if 1.03 fixes the problems with dual core and high end Nvidia cards. Have faith brother!

Yeah its a little strange. TOW has the same problem on my AMD 4400 Dual Core, 8800 GTS and 2GB of RAM. Both games runs just fine on my old AMD 2800, Ati 9800 PRO and 768mb of ram.Originally posted by Battlefront.com:Charles had an AMD system built for him with an 8800 in it so he can fix the problems. However, we are now starting to get reports that the old CMx1 games area also having problems with the 8800. This indicates to us that there are some serious problems with that card when combined some other variable (suspects are multi processors and/or Vista). Obviously new hardware shouldn't be breaking old games. Not ones that have been working flawlessly for 7 years.
The nVidia problem is a top priority for the v1.03 patch.
Steve
I really hope you, Nvidia, AMD/Intel finds the problem some day.
And please say so, if there is anything I can do to help you guys out testing. I have been a beta tester for a couple of games for my time now. The latest have been POA2 from HPS.....
Cheers

Hi rouge, use FRAPS.

Hi Steve, thanx for your answer and clarification!
Variable time would be a great feature if it could be added sometime in the future. 60 secs is just way to long for little me!
Looking forward to patch 1.02 and 1.03 with the 8800 fixes.
Cheers

Hi guys, it seems there is something "wrong" with the QB part of CMSF and BF is looking into it.

Hi, I gave up after page 28, looking for the link to the page with the pdf files showing how to make a scenario for CMSF. So could one of you please post a link?
Thanks in advance.

Hi as soon as I hit the "Map" -> "Elevation" the mouse gets very sluggish. Does anyone see experience the same?

Agreed, I don't care about points and balanced battles. I just want to take what units I will use for the comming battle and not like now with 3 Syrian Spotters and no arty....Originally posted by thewood:As far as I am concerned I don't need a point purchasing system. Just make a little easier to build quick battles with forces I want. I play against the AI or friends and we can work out the balance ourselves.

I have just installed CMSF (and TOW) on my old gaming rig, a 2800 AMD, with 768mb RAM and a Ati 9800 Pro card. And both games runs way better on the old than my newer 4400 Dual Core, 2gb RAM and a 8800 GTS 640 OC2.

You can also use T and Y for changing page, but like you I would like a hot key for every page or even better a hot key for every action.Originally posted by Scipio:Since I start to became fond of the new engine and this damned freezing problem has been solved, I have found some things I would like to have added!
1.) The command tabs should be accessable direct by keys, for example F1 to F4. I find it a bit unfonfortable to change the tab with the mouse each time. It would be also helpfull if the single commands get own hotkeys, too. Since very different commands use all the same key, I often order the wrong things. That's a very critical problem in RT mode. The mouse should be free primary for the 3D window. It would also be very helpfull if all keys can be asigned manually.
To be continued...
And I would also like to have hotkeys for the three Instant Commands: Pause, Cancel All and Evade, since one moves mouse way to much around in the RTS part of CMSF and like Scipio, I would like to keep my mouse in the 3D window.

Malm and I tried multiplayer last night and had some good fights.
But the QB seems a little strange. We had the problems with missing terrain, discussed in another thread, i.e. we was returned to menu. But what ever we did when playing tiny and small battles, the US got only vehicles and the Syrians got 2 inf squads, 2-3 Bmp II, 1 hq unit and 1-4 spotters. The "worst" example was 4 M1Ax vs. 2 inf squads with Rpg-7, 1 hq, 1 spotter and 4 Uaz.
I really don't have any problems with playing the underdog, but I just don't understand why dosn't the Syrians have more troops than the US?
And whats up with all those spotters when one has no artillery?
Cheers
