  1. Hi,

You can see how to do it here: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=87942

    And the text:

    Campaign Game

    * When a campaign scenario is updated, you can "import" your current progress from a saved game into the new scenario. Steps:

    1. Update CMSF to v1.20.

    2. Using v1.20 or later, save your current campaign between battles - from the point just after you dismiss the end-of-battle screen. Importing will not work for saves made at any other point.

    3. From the main intro screen, start a New Campaign, and select the updated version of the campaign you want to use. HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY as you click the OK button.

    4. Immediately an "import" screen will appear. You'll see your saved game here. Select it, click OK, and then things proceed as normal. The game does the best it can to match battle history and core units from your saved game to the new version of the campaign, but if the author has made major changes then this will be difficult, so the whole process of importing works best when updates to the campaign are relatively small ones.

Steam is essentially an online gaming platform and they are forcing you to be online to play, so how weird would that be if they charged you for downloading, heh...!

Not trying to start a fight or hijack this thread, but Steam doesn't require that you are online to play the games you have bought after downloading.... I now a lot of people who thinks its like this but it aren't...

Take a look at this: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3160-AGCB-2555

  3. Malm and I played some LAN Saturday, and my pc ran into serious troubles after playing 45+ mins. The game slowed down to a crawl and the soldiers started to look funny like very low res with pointy hats. CPU 0 stayed at 100% and the other at 0%. My RAM was at the time of the crash at 75% used, and I starts about 50% used from a fresh start of CMSF. When I quit CMSF it returns to normal.

Is this some kind of memory leak in the main mem or maybe my graphic card is running serious low on mem...?

  4. Hi,

First of all thanks BF for a great add-on have been playing it all night against my friend Malm. We normally use TeamSpeak for coordinating and chit-chat before/in/after the game.

We had some small problems connecting and it was close to possible to hear what each other said while in the "lobby" when the music was playing, in the host/join screen.

So could we please get a music off some time in the future? The sound off is all sounds and thats just to much ;-) (Not sure what happened with the emoticons but they are gone)

We had a single crash, but its to early to tell what went wrong.

    Cheers

    Mark

  5. I was in the Royal Danish Air Force in 1990 and was in basic training assigned as a MG helper, i.e. the guy that carries the ammo and extra pipe for the light machine gun M/62. The M/62 fired 7.62 and was built on the Maschinengewehr Modell 42 firing 7.92 ammo.

We were taught at that time to control our burst to 4-5 shots at the firing range, something really difficult with this beast and 10-15 was more likely. And for the fun of it we also tried firing single shots (very difficult).

  6. Not everyone is runing 1920x1200 though, and we have to accomodate all people out there. Since the manual pages are "static" images, it's impossible to have them scale with your browser resolution, so we have to go with (nearly) the lowest value.

The online manuals are not intended for cover-to-cover reading anyway, more for quick fact-checking and updates. The "real" thing are still the printed manuals that ship with the hardgoods when you purchase the game.

Ok thanks for the response Moon.

  7. It would be nice if BFC just released a "Russians" module after the Marines, Brits and EuroForce ones. Why shouldn't Russia be one of the countries hit by a Syrian "dirty bomb"? I know it's unlikely in the current political climate that US and Russian forces would both invade Syria but it would fit in with the back story and also allow properly researched Russian TO&Es to be pitted against US, British, European and Syrian forces.

    I'm with Cpl Steiner
