  1. i agree with strider. if a crew can take out a unit on the opfor it is realisic. they too are soldiers and hopefully have small arms to defend themselves in case their gun or vehicle is distroyed..
  2. another program that works well is publisher98 i was able to use it with good results..
  3. let me add my 2 cents also... thanks steve and bts... good scn..one more to challenge me in a combat roll..keep up the good work..
  4. i have a vehicle bogged down in chance encounter also earlie in the game..hope it comes free on its own..if not he will anchor the back of the map and wait for the tank retrever to come get it out if my advance proves succesfull.. ..damp ground and trees do make for a nasty combo for track vehicles.. in vietnam i was in a mtce co.. and we our sister co had a 88 tank retrever that took sometimes all day to remove a tank from a rice patty.. so it was a process that cm couldn't incorporate into a game.. and remember duck and run
  5. i too took sometime to get the controls down.. i find that the #4 view is good to get an over all look at the map and 5 to get an exact place to move or target a unit.. hope this helps ..if anyone has a better way please post it so all will benefit.. and remember ... duck and run
  6. "Oh and I got to kill a King Tiger with a Sherman 75 firing at a range of 30 metres into its side turret YES ! They said it couldn't be done but those guys just earned themselves the CMOH" Fionn .. not to mention a good hot bath to clean themselves up after the nerve wracking time it took to get them there.. Hahaha
  7. risc i couldn't agree more on your acessment of the cc series... i think cc1 is the best version of the game.. i wish they would have put more into the engine vs the graphics..have gone to your site and will be adding to my cc1 dir.. i still play the game.. and now i like the looks of cm.. and i remember icode. aka mark clouden from the irc days trying to correct the diconnect problems.. thanks again for your work on the additions to close combat..
