  1. With the advent of all the new missions available as part of the Uber Patch, many of you have asked for a new set of Campaign Unlock files.

Well, here ya go! Please pay attention to the install notes below!

    INSTALL DIRECTIONS:

Download the following file and then unzip it INTO your Theatre of War "users" folder. It should create a new folder called "player99".

Now when you play Theatre of War, you will see a new player profile available called "All unlocked". If you play with that profile and select any campaigns, all of the battles will be listed to play!

    Download link:

    Enjoy!

  3. Actually, this game has proven to be very high ping tolerant in my experience. I have played a 250 ping game and still had no discernible lag.

Obviously, your mileage may vary, but don't let a high ping rate keep you from at least trying to join someones game.

Guys. be sure and read the Multiplayer Configuration Readme document. It goes into great detail on how to optimize your settings for best MP performance.

  4. What you seem to be asking for, in a rather rude and childish way I might add, is a fully Dynamic Campaign, like what you might get in some flight simulators, but we never said thats what you would get and you are wrong in that you CAN actually have units progress from mission to mission. In fact, thats one of the things the new Panzer Lehr CAMPAIGN (and I use that word because thats what it is) does since the battles all occur in a very short period of time as opposed to the other CAMPAIGNS.

Now then, since you want to break the forum rules and use vulgarity, you are being warned that if you do so again you be banned from the forum.

We want to hear your opinions, but you will be respectful of others or you will not be allowed back.

  5. The directory name is just the name of the folder that ToW will place the file (within the Missions (main directory). You doint need to enter any special path

Assuming this was a new single player mission, load up the game, Select Single Player and then Battles and your new mission should be listed.

If it was a MP battle, you will see it listed under the Multiplayer Mission list, but not under the Battles list.

  6. Weird, the patch installer shouldn't conflict with Vista (but remember Vista itself is not officially supported in Theatre of War although it usually works).

From where did you download the patch? Was the resulting file an exe or a .zip?

Some of the mirrors are repacking the installer as a zip file (they do that so they can include some info about their websites) so maybe thats what you got.

  7. The game manual wasn't really changed but this patch includes updated documention in the forum of a new Battle Generator Manual, Mission-Campaign Editor Manual, Mission Triggers Overview, Multiplayer Configuration Readme and Map Editor Manual.

All those docs can be found in the new Docs folder located in the game directory and also via the Theatre of War Program Group under the Start button.

  8. Basically, from what I *recall* is that it means that 1C corrected some issues with how they calculate how damage is applied to units visually. I believe it means that the scar and penetration graphics will be more accurately placed on the 3D models.

I do know that 1C also looked at some of the internal damage calculations so that damge to units is improved as well, but thats listed seperately.

Then again, I could be wrong...

  9. You cant use our Patch with any other version OTHER than with a version purchased from Battlefront.

If you do, the game will stop working as you won't have the same licensing system as we use.

Just be patient, all of the other publishers will want to get their respective patches out as soon as they can, and as always, I will work hard to get that done for you guys in any way I can.

No, this patch is only for the English language Battlefront.com version of the game. Other patch versions will be released depending on their respective publishers timeline and interest in doing so. So be sure to bug the publisher of your version (Kaylpso, Anuman etc...) to get on the ball!
