  1. If you go look at Tomb's pilot DUKE he has all this stuff....

Aggressive 1 Draw 1 card when Advantaged or Tailing

Escape Death 1 Pilot escapes being shot down when he would normally have died. Expended when used.

Evasive 1 Draw 1 card when Disadvantaged or Tailed

High Performance 1 This pilot's aircraft has its Performance rating increased by 1.

Power Dive 1 Draw 1 extra card than normal when diving.

Quick Reflexes 1 Draw 1 card when targeted

Starting Energy 1 +1 starting card

Zoom Climb 1 Discard 1 card less than normal when climbing.

Now I dont know about your math, but that more than a hundred. smile.gif

Heh stop posting and start killing. We have almost 500 kills and I am waiting for you to get the last couple kills in seeing how you had about 400 of them anyway smile.gif

  3. Another point to make is that human players actually tend to play better than the bots. I have seen the AI do dumber stuff than even me. :(

And I actually do not play single player games anymore, its all online for me, but wargamers tend to act 1000 times better during play than other games. And there really are some great guys who know a lot about the subject matter, so it may be nice for you to play with other enthuiasts.

Guys like Kuroi Neko, Pawlock, Thunder, zonzo, raztak, demoss, and many others make this game so fun.

    Hope to see you online.

  4. The girlfriend looks at me funny as it is, me playing with cards wont help that. smile.gif Anyway now that this has been released I think there is no going back. I can honestly say only 2 games ever have made me all antsy about it showing up, CMBO and Diablo 2. I am a 35 year old acting like its christmas.

I think I may buy it if I ship back to Afghanistan though. Not many dog fights over there. smile.gif

  5. Hello Ludomeister,

    1. Just move mouse over the plane and click the plane. The damage will tell you in the pilot menu on the right upperhand side.

    2. Go to manage pilot screen. Pick any pilot and hit the purchase skills button. Just click on a skill name and it will tell you.

    3. The card skills are gone upon use. Ace pilot, maneuver, barrel roll etc... Skills like Evasive, Powerdive, Redline, etc... are permanent.

    4. No I dont believe that it does anything for bonus to your score. Just makes you think really fast when playing a few of these guys.

    5. You can play 2vs2 with ease. As far as squadron vs squadron, one of the DIF guys will have to tell you if thats in the full version.

Welcome to the game. I didnt play the card game but put your kids to bed, hand the wife the credit cards, get a drink, and learn to sleep 3 hours less a night. DIF stands for DIVORCE IS FINAL, cause thats what I would be headed to if I was married. smile.gif

Even though I've purchased all the GMT DiF card games since Rise of the Luftwaffe, I just found out about this computerized version of the game 2 days ago. Promptly downloaded the game and have been playing it (and having lots of fun) since.

Quite obviously there are some differences from the manual version of the game, but for the most part everything is pretty much the same. Still, I have a few questions I hope y'all can provide a pointer to ....

    1. I can't find the button to look at the accumulated damage either my planes or my opponent's planes have. Where is it?

    2. One thing that's been improved from the manual game is the RPG aspect: the experience points that buy the extra skills. Many of those skills are the same as in the manual game, but some are new. That said, I can't find a listing in the online documentation that *describes* what those skills do (though you can guess at some of them, obviously). Is there documentation on that?

    3. When you "buy" one of those skills, say, Ace Pilot, is it permanent, or is it something that once you use you lose?

    4. When you are setting up you can choose various levels of reaction time, with the better the rating the smaller the time you get to make your decision. Is there any VP bonuses associated with choosing the Ace level, for example? Or is this just something that players can use to balance experience levels?

    5. Are the "squadrons" set up so that you can play with your friends as a 2 elements vs. somebody else's squadron elements?

    Thanks,

    Ludo

  6. In the full version will our pilots carry over from the demo or will we just have to make new ones? And if they are carried over, will we be able to get them more advanced aircraft based on rank/xp?

Also will demo players be able to fight with full version players?

Will the gold demo unlock exp barriers?

    thanks,

  7. I want to see the Columbian Airforce included, except where they fire missles of death. MOD1: Destroyed. Oh and I want to be the ONLY one who gets to use the brave Colombian AF. smile.gif

How about Canadians as an addon. Lots of them play BF games and since its gonna be winter soon, my Zeros will be glad to war thier backsides with some "hot lead:.

  8. I know I've faced AIO pilots with 3 x Draw extra card, but as far as I've seen I only ever get to buy 2 of them at a time - 1 at 4 points, the 2nd at 6 - if I buy both then there's no further options to buy more.

  9. I think that maybe this is the most important issue affecting game play IMHO.

Its is my feeling that the Destroyed cards ratio should be lowered and shouldnt be a card you can purchase except maybe till you have earned it with major exp. OTS3: 4 CARDS require skill to some extent, but what would happen if someone got huge exp and bought like 25 extra draws and just happened to draw 3 or more in a 10+ card hand? Not very sporting...

But hey its your game and dare say I love it. I will buy it and love it no matter what design decisions you employ. Just your prompt response with the server disconnect issue sold me on your customer relations coupled with you being associated with Battlefront, and I know you have a customer for life with me.

  10. Also maybe the text could actually scroll down automatically. I hate hitting the down arrow to see msgs when I come back from a game. Thank You.

Oh and maybe a command to tell a person that you are in a game when the private message you. Or an option to block them totally.

And maybe even a friends list where you can just message everyone on your list. Warcraft 3 has one where you hit /f m and the message. Just a thought.

No Battlefront has always been make a guess then have us wait another 6-8 months.

    Who Cares?

Well I would like to know the general timeframe of the release, will my current PC handled it, will I need a new video card, more memory? Some of us budget our entertainment dollars.

I wish, that was true, can anyone say Harpoon IV(canceled after 4 years in development) or 82nd Airbone(missed it's 7th release and going nowhere)!

The basic rule of thumb of software development is, the longer a project takes the more likly it will be cancelled! </font>

What Planet do you live on? First off, I could save enough in pennies to more than fund this game by the time its released. CM isnt something you budget, you just PREORDeR and when they announce the Gold Version will begin shipping in 4-6 weeks, you get on this board every 3 minutes to ask Matt if they mailed YOUR copy yet. Very simple.

And the longer it takes means nothing. They wont go out of business.

  12. Personally I would love to see it from Battlefront. The tactics employed in island fighting would make this an exciting change of pace. But the heart of CM wasnt infantry, but armored warfare. I have no clue as to what the changes will be to CMX2 but I know someone will make a mod to atleast touch on this.

  13. Hey Stalin, ever seen the Double Destroyed Wingman from hell? What is that you say????

Well in 2 turns I lost both leader and wingman to destroyed cards played by enemy. Now top this with the target pilot the wingman had.....a double funeral for me. That was so awesome but so sad.....
