Eden Smallwood Posted July 24, 2009 Share Posted July 24, 2009 Got this book yesterday; I'm about 3/4 through it. For me it was a slow start, but then it picked up... I guess I'd say it was "ok". I won't bother giving x out of y starts, since I don't know what the heck the baseline would be. But parts remind me alot of the book that optionally comes with CMAK. Narses Posted August 5, 2009 Share Posted August 5, 2009 I really like Steven Pressfield and grabbed KR up. Despite some factual errors about diesel engines in Ger panzers I thought it OK. Pressfield is really an expert in ancient military history. Read his"Gates of Fire" and others of that genre. Great stuff. Also try Victor Davis Hansen if you like ancient warfare. I can hardly pull myself away from Miedieval II but I love WW2 tank action in CMBB. AK and Pz Elite. I'm trying TOW and TOW 2 but I'm still unhappy I can't get the TOW editor in Vista.
