Binge watching all four episodes of the excellent AMC series "TURN: Washington's Spies" after contemplating a collectible pewter plate with the famous A. m. Willard Spirit of '76 painting in enamel on it. H.Ross Perot owns the real one. Weirdly, I haven't heard a single firecracker or whistler go off here before, during or after the 4th. Meanwhile, my nephew texted he couldn't call because he wouldn't be able to hear what was said, and someone I spoke to yesterday had so much stuff going off nearby it was reminiscent of artillery fire detonations.
