Hello Scum! Just a little update. I will be picking Lorak up on Wednesday! I mentioned the two games I had picked up. He said the Flashpoint was good. He had been wanting to try it out. With IL-2 he said: " I didn't know that one was out yet. I wonder which one of them bastards has been talking to matt to find out how bad I am at dogfighting. It is just like one of them sadistic SOBs to talk you into picking me up a flight sim. So which bastard was it? I need to know whos ass to kick." I was laughing. I know he really likes flight sims, I just know how mad he gets because he keeps getting his butt kicked. He also said that the only reason he hurt himself was to get home in time to catch LOTR while it was on the big screen. So I guess I know what we will be doing this weekend. Later Cest bon

Hello again Scum! Thanks for all the suggestions. Here is what I picked up today. IL2- I like hearing him bitch while he tries to fly. Since he actualy is a pilot it makes me laugh when I hear the: "Damn it! What the hell is wrong with me? I bet that bastard that just shot me down is only 12 and never even been in a plane!" A guy at the store recommended Operation flashpoint. So I picked that one up. Should I take it back for ghost recon? Or is that one ok? WHOO WHOO WHOO My goodness what a great day, full of great news! Hiram, I am happy to hear about your sister. I remember Lorak mentioning her before. I also wish your sister the best in her motherhood. Have her wait until the 31st and she can share our daughters birthday. Now for my good news! ( a little bad news, but this post should be long gone by the time he gets back with the way you guys post. ) Lorak is coming home!! He messed up his knee in a jump. Tore a ligament or tendon or something. He should be home within the week. He didn't let me know sooner so I wouldn't worry. He says that everything went well, but due to his down time and the injury he is no longer fit for active duty. I really hope you guys don't think I am a uncaring bitch or think that I am anti-military.(Far from it. I was an army brat growing up). But I would be lying if I said I wasn't happy he is coming home and will be a civy! One other thing. He will be out of work for another week or two after he gets back. I was thinking of picking him up a couple DVD's and maybe a new computer game as a welcome home gift. Do you guys have any suggestions? I mean as in historical or war movie DVD's? As for the computer game I see yinz are talking about IL-2. I guess from reading it is a flying game. Would that be something to pick up? If so could you tell me the minimal requirments for it? Oh my lord. Football has once again reared its ugly head in the cesspool. What makes this even harder to digest is that it is dealing with crap like the eagles and giants. Both teams suck. They have no offense, thier defenses are on the field way to long, I look for this game to be as boring as the Dallas Washington monday nighter (2 other NFLeast teams). Whole game comes down to two players, Barber and Duce. I give the edge to the eagles 14-10. What really surprises me is this. I gathered from yinz inept post here in the pool that you guys were idiots. I was willing to let that pass as a internet fancy. Hello again scum, I must say I do enjoy reading this thread. Helps pass the time and provides a laugh or two. Only problem is the amount of typing you guys do between my visits. You guys do have jobs, right? I believe it was Joe that ask what Lorak might be doing. I may come off sounding like a bad wife, or that I don't care, but honestly I never really paid attention and he doesn't talk about it much. Except for when he is with friends. We also only dating most of the time he was in. So it was a lot of brief visits and letters. Best I can remember. He was originaly in artilley or cannons, and was based in oklahoma. From here he mentioned something about calling in targets, maybe like a scout or something. Then he finally ended up at ft. bragg. I remember more of this because it was his last post and he was close enough to visit a bit more. I know he did some training with explosives or something, and I know he parachuted, because I remember him being happy about wearing diffrent boots. I know that doesn't say much, but thats about it. Maybe with a specific question I could remember more. Oh and Seanachai, I really liked you guinness theory. I'm just not sure the formula is in his head. If your going to talk football at least take it to the pro level where people that don't live in your zip code know what in the hell your talking about. Obscure aussie habits: While cricket, roadkill, and dead cats may be the new "in thing" downunder. It really just reaffirms to the world what a bunch of shaggy, backwoods,paul hogan wannabee's you really are. Must be great for the tourist industry. Rooting: Less said about this one the better. Not that it isn't a fun subject, but "rooting"? Haven't heard that term in a long long time. Hairy wet beavers: While another interesting topic, I just don't see the draw of hairy wet beavers? Much better to shave your beavers, they glide through the water much better that way. Scratch and sniff: I don't understand why a guy would ask for something they are born with naturally. I thought scratching themselves and sniffing **** were born instincts in the male species. Oh and next time you guys decide to start football, at least only mention the only team that matters. Hello scum, Lorak's wife here. He ask me to stop by once and a while to keep you guys updated and make sure you guys are not making bigger fools of yourselves than usual. I have had a lot of fun in the past reading some of your post as he points them out to me. Just came by to say that I recived an e-mail from Larry today and he says things are ok. He says that PT sucks, but you sadistic bastards would laugh at that. He still has not gotten an e-mail address of his own to use yet. Says he should be able to send me one shortly. Didn't tell me where he is at or what he is doing, but with him that is kind of normal. Hopefully I'll hear more as time goes on. Hope you guys don't mind if I stop in from time to time. I find you guys interesting to say the least. Oh, and Larry said that I should throw in some Python stuff to fit in. So, Since I am an SSN and I should "sod off". I'll ask.
