  1. WOW, something strange here. I was doing some interner surfing and just had a desire to check the old CM forum. I saw you message. I have just stopped gaming now and after getting dumped on by Mike Dorosh over the Osprey business I stopped checking this forum. Tired of the attitude problems with some people. Anyway, on you problem I have seen that problem many times. Now send me you mod, bmps and rules, everything. I will have a look at it. Send it to miket6065@sbcglobal.net and I will give it a look. I am sure I can fix the problem fairly quick. Mike
  2. Don't know about that bit. But books are on those newsgroups all the time. The Osprey books have been appearing for some time now. Get them or don't, your decision. But I was looking over the files. Modders should fine some ideas for their work.
  3. At newsgroup alt.binaries.e-book.flood someone just posted the following Osprey books: The Long Range Desert Group 1940-45 PanzerKampfwagenIV 1936-45 British Tanks in North Africa 1940-42 Panther Variants Flammpanzer German flamethrower tanks StuGIII Assualt Gun 1940-42 Tiger Heavy Tank 1942-45 Kingtiger Heavy Tank 1942-45 If you search back far enough in the group you will also find these for uniforms: The Italian Army 1940-45 US Army in WWII, The Pacific Japanese Army 1931-45 Hermann Goering Division Waffen SS 1 to 5 Divisions They are in yEnc format and are PDF books. 6. Shotguns, illegal. Some people claim so but then Senator Kerry claims that the 50cal HMG is illegal and made him a war criminal. I am very dubious of this "this weapon is illegal" business until I read the whatever convention is being quoted. I recently started reading the Genera convention about Prisoners of war and who is covered. Very interesting. MikeT

  15. General Colt, check out Yahoo DSL. It uses your phone line and you can still get excellent download times. Only costs me $26 per month, not too bad. MikeT
  16. No, the original CMMOS4.03 CMBO mods will not work with 4.05. I had to create all new ones and all of the originals have been redone. MikeT
  17. I wouldn't and I didn't install 4.05 over 4.03. Make it a separate directory or better yet completely and totally remove 4.03. There is nothing there you need and the two systems work completely differently. 4.03 has the mods unzipped into the bmp/wav folders of CMBO. 4.05 the mods remained zipped and are only unzipped when they are installed. It also can reinstall the original files of the game. Mike
  18. Painbat, the new CMMOS4.5 which is available at CM Mod Database supports an all new set of mods for CMBO. These include every mod I could find including all the allied uniforms and Phillipe's Semiotic's mods. There are so many mods I cannot list them all. Some 20 or so Tiger's so many Panther mods and variants you will never tire of them. This also includes the theater redress mods for the Pacific and desert as well as a Star Wars mod that includes weapon sounds. Give it a look and I think you will remove CMMOS4.03 and install 4.5. MikeT
  19. If I gather what you are referring to then the file is a CMMOS file and has extensions to the bmp numbers. Those extension must removed. For instance, in the game bmp 1234.bmp might look like 1234_icy_foam.bmp in CMMOS. The "_icy_foam" MUST be removed for that file to work. Hope this helps. MikeT
  20. You can download CMMOS at CM Mod Database. It now supports CMAK with rulesets available for CMAK and CMBO. I still want to upload rulesets for CMBB but with all that is happening at work and in private life I just haven't. Check for MikeT for CMMOS and CMMOS for CMAK and CMBO mods for it. MikeT
  21. contact and I can send you the filelists from CMMOS for CMAK. MikeT miket6065@sbcglobal.net
  22. I had so much fun with those books. Just wish I had kept them. Mike
  23. Oooh, that looks sweat. Now the German vehicles must be grey not desert yellow but who is nickpicking? Not sure about the British vehicles. Now how about vacationing in Malta and working up some terrain mods. I would love to see a Matilda in that Maltese rock pattern. MikeT
