phil1943 Posted December 13, 2002 Share Posted December 13, 2002 When playing CMBB games I save my game at intervals, however when I go to load those games at a later date they are corrupted somehow. The saved games read as being "0 turns", and when clicked on the game just freezes. They all have the correct file sizes i.e they are not empty, but they are just not being recognised by CMBB. Please help me, this is incredibly frustrasting. This problem is unpredictable, sometimes saved games work, sometimes not. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Are you running the CDV or the BTS version of CMBB ? Are you running the v. 1.01 patch or just 1.0 ? Have you always had this problem with CMBB ? At what point are you saving your games (during your plotting or right before pressing Go for a turn, etc.) ? Are all of these games against the AI or are they hotseat, TCP/IP, etc. ? What platform are you on (Mac or PC) ? What OS are you running ? Have you checked your hard drive with disk utilities for any possible file corruption/problems ? Do you have any programs running in the background while your run CMBB ? I save my games right before pressing GO. Only Yahoo Messenger running at same time as CMBB. Running Win 2000 Pro. Possible file corruption probs on hard drive. Cribtop Gamer Posted December 30, 2002 Share Posted December 30, 2002 Phil, Did you ever get this resolved? I am having a very similar problem. I get a blue screen of death plus a disk write error message whenever I save a CMBB game. After re-booting, the save game has a "white" name with zero turns. The autosave remains but is also corrupted. I have not had this problem until tonight.
